Powder Keg - Sycamore versus Cheatham County

While in Ashland City this past Wednesday, I saw an actual billboard for the game between Sycamore and Cheatham County. I didn't even know that the rivalry had a name until I saw the sign. Seems to me that a rivalry that big should have some talk on this board. I don't know much about this year's teams but based on their common opponent (Hunters Lane) I'm going with the Cubs in a two touchdown victory.

I have seen Cubs fans posting on here for years but I don't think sycamore has a large presence on Coach T. I'm sure there are a few but none come to mind. I agree with you though Cubs by double digits.

I'd figured the Cubs would score more. with the War Eagles getting a score in.

Should have been worse, cubs had a 60 yarder called back and a turnover inside eagles 20. Sycamore defense kept it from being worse.

Congratulations to the Cubs on the win.  Cheatham County has now won 4 of the last 6 overall in the series.

How good was the War Eagle defense? How bad should the score have been?

I wouldn't say the game should have been worse.... Sycamore dropped 2 wide open TD passes. Sycamore putting the ball on the ground 6 times doesn't help much either... The defense is pretty impressive to allow 14 points, especially with the amount of turnovers.

Got to see the game film today. I think Sycamore is lucky it wasn't worse. Cheatham controlled the game from the kickoff. Sycamore spent most of the game getting pushed back. The Sycamore defense kept it semi respectful. That's now two straight games without an offensive touchdown. Something has to change

How many yards did cheatham have? I don't feel like Sycamore got "pushed back" for a majority of the game. I don't recall reading about the QB or RB as being one of the top performers this week. I think 2 had a few good runs, but I don't recall anything too impressive. I think Sycamore catching balls and holding on to balls offensively makes this a great game. Couple of wide open TD's dropped.
