Hoping to see Oak Ridge back in the state finals this year. It would be nice to see the women and men from OR in the finals. And that is a real possibility.

I love your enthusiasm. Just one small thing, the OR boys lost in the semifinals last season to Memphis East.  The boys will have a very difficult road to get to State. One off night during the Tournaments and you could be putting the balls up. Bearden and Maryville are both very good with Bearden being a nasty pit bull not bulldog.

When the Lady Wildcats are firing on all pistons they can get to State. Jada's blood has turned to ice water and she has turned into a stoned cold killer. She is very focused. Mykia can be counted on to lead. The other pieces are in place. Like the boys, there are several girls team out there standing in the way to State, however.

Let finished the regular season strong then may the best team win on each night in the tournaments.

Ha I doubt that will happen this year, my friend. Not on the boys end, at least. If they make it to the finals this year it'll be the best coaching job Green has done since he has been here. And even if they do, I would hate the massacre that would be awaiting for us in the finals against Memphis East haha. Like your faith though!

Oak Ridge defeats Anderson County tonight by a score of 72 - 60. Seth Caldwell led the team with 24 points. OR is now 10 - 0 in District 3-AAA. The Cats have now won 72 straight district games

Tuesday the Cougars of Campbell County come a calling.

WOW! That's an incredible streak. You would think Powell, Karns or somebody could have caught them on an off night...

District 3-AAA Regular Season straight win # 73 was recoded tonight by a 89 - 54 victory over Campbell County. Oak Ridge is now 11 - 0 in District and can secure the championship Thursday at Karns.

Joe Kesterson bombed in 8 three balls to tie KevinSteen for second place on the single game all time list. Steve Younkin set the record with Nine 3s back in 2005,

Oak Ridge has not lost to Campbell County since 1999. That is 38 straight wins over the Cougars.

As usual, all of these interesting facts come from David Clary's twitter feed.

Not sure what happened but Levert Smith picked up two technical, one right after the other, and will miss the next two games .

Next game is Thursday at Campbell County followed by the always exciting battle with Fulton..

Can't wait to see Bearden play Oak Ridge in Regional play.  If I recall correctly, Oak Ridge has historically bested the Bulldogs.  Thoughts on that matchup this season?

I’ve seen Bearden play twice this year. They have one of the best shooters I’ve seen. It will be a good game for sure.

There are a few more teams from District  4-AAA that can play with Oak Ridge so don't

count on OR vs BHS. Anyway we have Fulton tonight and we are not at full strength.

    • He resigned smh, and have you ever heard of charged but not convicted. Some people in this county baffle me with their need to slander others. Have you asked any of the 30+ parents that signed a petition to get him reinstated at the board meeting this week how they feel about this? Just let it play out, at the end of the day the only people that will bring TC back are the ones that know what its about at its core.    People hate losing and they aren't used to it at TC. I for 1, and I'm sure others too, understand having a dip in talent and not being able to compete for a state title every year. But in the past, TC teams have outworked more talented teams, they didn't continuously lose the turnover battle, they didn't commit 8+ penalties in several games each season, and I believe several of the folks in town that want Blake out feel as if he is neglecting the history of the program. This is from a source that used to be extremely close to the program (not me lol), Blake gets out of school midday and the players show up and there is no practice plan or itinerary.  I also understand those that are on team Blake, when he has loads of talent, he wins. He does know football and he is a tremendous DC, and if the rumors are true then he will do great things. As for the board member issue, it is what it is, everyone that's true to the county know that and nothing has changed. I agree though that they should strive to make the facilities as good as we can. And as far as potential candidates, I agree there is very few options. West, Vetetoe (yes I know), and couple others that could have some interest. Whatever happens is massive for the program during a pivotal time before the next big wave of stars make their way through.
    • McKenzie had no trouble with Huntingdon.
    • Has BA landed any cornfed cowboys to block up front?
    • Yea I agree I will say tho I was a big “ v “ fan if an  opening ever did happen I think it would’ve been good to see him have a shot coming from a power house like Oakland. I’m sure he’s learned a lot from Kevin.  I bet he would bring a really good offense scheme IMO But after all this I just dunno anymore.  Whatever happens with the rumors an such if it did come to and opening I think this messes it all up.  The board members dreams are slowly slipping away now. I haven’t lived there for awhile I just hear what I hear, but my question is would there be any good potential candidates?? That’s why I don’t understand why people want b s out so bad who else could do any better ?? IMO there’s nothing attractive about it? As I stated earlier I went to the last game last year and taking a leak in a porta Potty is pretty sad and still nothing being done they say ..
    • I have a sophomore that can do 177 (preferred) or 192. Sent you an email.
