2018 5A

How do y’all think 5A will look next year? Will Catholic Repeat?

What does everyone have coming back? I know Hillsboro has a lot returning from a Top-5ish quality team

Beech graduates 18 starters, but has a lot of good young talent coming up.

A healthy Knox Central team can contend. Have one of the best defenses in TN

Gallatin should be there. Lots of talent back and a great coaching staff.

Assuming the same teams are in 5A and the TSSAA does not re-classify then R1 5A will basically be non-existent.      R2 will have Knox Central as a possibility.     R3 will be between Oak Ridge, Catholic and Fulton.

Both teams that played for the 5a championship in 2016 were moved up to 6A for 2017. I'm not sure but I think all schools keep their placements for 2018 even if their enrollments go up. I  could be wrong. Catholic is in reg. 4. Have no idea what's going on in reg. 1

KC has alot coming back in lines I know ..they will be there plus they havent had time to see who they gotta get the Church to pay tuition for yet ... they will decide in summer who they will go for  ... I think the 12,000 has to be paid July 1st I think ... and OR will be there and probably Rhea Co , West , Fulton  .. dont see alot from Region 1 or 2

Boone will prob win Region 1 that Cole kid has great Talent and Region 2 will prob be central again even though this division is mostly even. Region 3 is a tough division but I see Fulton winning this one. Region 4 will go to catholic

Boone will be 4-6, hopefully 5-5.    Cole is beyond awesome but there is nobody left to block.     The only reason Boone MAY win R1 is because the rest of R1 is so bad, but I would look for Tenn High to take it next year.    But in the end it really doesn't matter, I see R1 going 0-4 again in the playoffs next year.   We NET'ers always get excited around playoff time but it is always short-lived.    Football on this end of the state is just not that serious.        Cynical?      Perhaps.     Just trying to be realistic??    Yeah, I think that's it.

If not for Greeneville . " MAN I wish I'd lived back home for the past 10 years so my kids could also enjoy being champions" ,I'd say dead on for the most because of some once proud football programs and where they are today.DB is a band school now ,Don't know what has happened with Tennessee High.SH is showing some life these days after decades of sleep but not enough to do much in the playoffs.

I believe if Crockett didn’t have the Sensabaugh drama, they could’ve at least got R1 a  win in the 1st round but R1 might go winless in the 1st round again unless something unexpected happens
