BC and Slant it was great to see you guys again and thanks for being so good to my boys. You guys are class acts and my family really enjoyed seeing you two. Your high school and stadium were beautiful. A lot to be proud of. See you guys again in a few months!!

Enjoyed seeing you and your wonderful family! I bet their cars get as much mileage on them as your car heading back to Milan.Ha! Classic Boys! :thumb:

1. Alcoa- even though folks kept saying the Tornados were down, that their talent pool was running dry and they were beatable in 3A, Alcoa won its 3rd straight title and 11th in the last 14 years. Alcoa's average score in the playoffs was 39 to 6.8 and that includes late TDs given up to opponents when the 2s and 3s were in. Rankin says they will be better next year...

2. Covington- Well coached. good team with some dynamic athletes. only losses were to Alcoa in title game and an early season game. Handled previously undefeated Raleigh -Egypt 35-16 in the playoffs. They pulled the upset of the playoffs with the win over PC in the semis.

3. Pearl Cohn- Manned up and played a tough schedule to get ready for the playoffs. Were ranked #1 by some people before playoffs started. gutted out some close wins against tough teams like CPA and Marshall. Lost by 3 TDs to Cookeville. Lots of talent and dominated most teams they played in 3A. Lost in Semis to a good Covington team.

4. Austin East - some great athlete and improved coaching has the roadrunners climbing back towards the top. Lost to Fulton by one TD and had two losses to Alcoa by a combined score of 62-21.

5. Red Bank- Made it to the semis. Lost to Alcoa in that game 34-0

6. Kingston- Well coached team. Fell off with a late season upset loss but until then had only lost to AE and Alcoa. Had the lead on AE at the half ( I think)

7-Milan- tough year for the Bulldogs but the two close losses to Covington 27-28 and 14-21 show that the Bulldogs belong at number 7.

8.Johnson County- Had a great season and pushed AE in the playoffs before falling 30-21. Congrats to the Longhorns on an undefeated regular season.

9. Raleigh Egypt- Undefeated regular season but not really any quality wins lost 35-16 to Covington in the 3rd round

10 - Fairview - a 1 point double OT loss and a losses to larger schools were the only blemishes on their regular season record. made it to the 3rd round of playoffs before falling to PC 41-17

Move a-e up to 3 rd and johnson county to 5 th and u have it
