How is that allowed?  In other sports that would make them ineligible for state.  I know in football if you forfeit a playoff game than you are ineligible for playoffs for the next 2 (maybe more?) years.  I understand that the match doesn't matter as the two teams will wrestle again for a state title, but TSSAA really needs some parallelism on their rules across its sports!!

Hold on. I wouldn’t say these 2 will be in the finals. Cleveland yes, Soddy no. I don’t think Soddy is quite good enough for a state title. It will be the Hill or Wilson Central more than likely on the other side facing Cleveland.

Blackman vs Lawrence Co

Tullahoma vs Oakland

winners wrestle for region title. 

 

Region 6 is

Wilson Central vs Clarksville

Beech vs Rossview

winners wrestle for region title.

 

My guess is Blackman/Oakland and Wilson/Beech

5:00 pm - Round 1:  Antioch vs Brentwood, Centennial vs Cane Ridge

6:00 pm - Round 2:  Indy vs Antioch/Brentwood Winner, Overton vs Cent/CR winner

7:30 pm - Round 3:  Region Championship Match (both team qualify for TSSAA State Duals)

• Match 1 - Germantown (#4 in District 16) at Arlington (#1 in District 15)
• Match 2 - Bolton (#3 in District 15) at Houston (#2 in District 16)
• Match 3 - Munford (#4 in District 15) at Bartlett (#1 in District 16)
• Match 4 - Kingsbury (#3 in District 16) at Collierville (#2 in District 15)

Round 2 is at the Bartlett Freshmen Academy tomorrow night:

• Match 5 - Winner of Germantown/Arlington vs. Winner of Bolton/Houston
• Match 6 - Winner of Munford/Bartlett vs. Winner of Kingsbury/Collierville

Round 3 is at the Bartlett Freshmen Academy tomorrow night:

• Match 7 - Winner of Match 5 vs. Winner of Match 6
• Match 8 - Loser of Match 5 vs. Loser of Match 6

Round 4 is at the Bartlett Freshmen Academy tomorrow night (True Second Match):

• Match 9 - Loser of Match 7 vs. Winner of Match 8 (Only if they have not wrestled yet that night)

I like this set up. This is how it should be. Top 4 from the 2 districts instead of top 2 like most.

Lol yes I know this. But an 8 team playoff is always better than a 4 team playoff  plus id like to see teams like Tennessee or Mt. Juliet get a shot to regroup and maybe redeem themselves. Or even like region 7 with the top 3 from each district. I like that too. I just like more excitement. Haha

I was wondering the same. Considering it’s at Bradley, it probably is at baha.tv but will cost you to watch. Looks like Region 6 has a stream form wilson central as well
