I would like to invite all Tennessee wrestling clubs to the Diesel City Folkstyle Championships on February 11th, 2018!  Columbus, Indiana is home to the world famous Cummins diesel engine.  Come see if your wrestlers have their motor ready to win this tournament.  This is an individual Folkstyle tournament sanctioned by USA Wrestling and open to Peewee-Junior ages.  There will be wrestlers from all over Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Tennessee, and hopefully Kentucky. The champion of each weight class will earn the Diesel City Folkstyle Champion fight shorts pictured below!  We will also have medals for 2nd-6th place.  Along with the individual tournament we will be keeping track of team points accumulated throughout the tournament.  There will be four team divisions: Large 15+, Medium 8-14, Small 1-7, and All-Star/Academy division (wrestlers from different clubs and/or states wrestling under the same team name).  There will be Team Champion and Team Runner-up plaques for each division.  8 teams will walk away with some hardware to hang in the wrestling room!

    • They just finished interviews Wednesday and just posted the teaching job. Legally, they have to wait a few days before hiring someone or announcing it. I'd say we will know mid week who the guy is.
    • So your take is that JT would be a good hire?
    • It’s tough to keep track when every post of yours sounds equally clueless. But hey, if you want to be Ted today, go for it.
    • FWIW, I am on your side of the argument here. I've done plenty of research on their school and how it operates. I've long been against any school that can control its enrollment through a lottery or other "application process" being in the public school division. Regardless of how they get their funding, they get their students like they are a private school. Now with that being said... Here is the reported enrollment's from the fall that affect the 2025-2029 classification cycle. You'll see both Prep and the girls school on there with the indication of being doubled because they are single gender. https://cms-files.tssaa.org/documents/tssaa/2024-25/enrollments-public-2024.html Here is the reported enrollments from the fall of 2022 that affected the cycle we are currently in. It doesn't state that they were doubled that year. I can only assume they were not doubled that time because they were only at two grade levels in the high school? Not sure what happened there. https://tssaa.org/2022-fall-enrollments As far as the sharing of staff and facilities, I'm just stating how the TSSAA looks at it. They don't get into what you share. The only thing they are looking at is are you one "school". For example, like FH and SF are allowed to move 8th graders up to high school sports because they have one principal, or they are one "school" and places like Perry County can't. Linden Middle School and Perry County are side by side share a parking lot. But they have two separate principals. When schools are allowed to move 8th graders up, they don't have to report the 8th graders as part of their enrollment. Another example is the TSSAA doesn't add schools together for enrollment when they Co-op sports.  In the end, again I don't think its right. But I wasn't asked when they made the decisions. As usual with the TSSAA, the little guys get overlooked. Until its a problem for the top 2/3 of the schools in the association, the problem isn't noticed. Maybe now that they are moving to 2A, "public" schools with an application process that can deny students from enrolling will get looked at as not playing by the same rules as actual public schools.
    • Did you watch the match? Doesn’t sound like you did. The “pulling of the sock” was a Bs call anyone with half a brain would agree. Unless the hate for Cleveland is as real as it seems.    The ref not one time hit him with a point for the way he was using the position to injury Zac’s knee.
