went to the TCA v Greenfield game tonight and watched what I thought would be a competitive game get absolutely dominated by an outstanding Greenfield team.  I have seen most all of the single A players in west TN play, and Chloe and Tess are the absolute cream of the crop.  Both deserve to be nominated for the award!

After watching tonight and seeing Huntingdon play on several occasions, I am kicking myself for missing their games against each other.  These two seem to be the favorites to make the Boro IMO from West TN.

Tonight Greenfield dominated Trinity Christian to the point that Darby and Moore were on the bench early in the fourth quarter with a huge lead, 77-46. The eighth graders got lots of playing time in this one. Tess Darby ( 35pts ) and Chloe Moore ( 20 pts ??ast - maybe a double-double ) BOTH should be nominated for Miss Basketball. I also want to hear from the other fans. Not about the best teams, but the top players that deserve to be nominated.

Chloe Moore  -  Tess Darby  -  both from Greenfield

I really believe Greenfield will have the 2 best players on the floor regardless of who they play this year. Chloe Moore & Tess Darby are the real deal and they both can take control of a game. Both girls are great players and great kids, both deserving of a Miss Basketball nomination. I love to watch them play and the good thing is they are both sophomores.

Brooks from Perry County is really a solid player. Seen her a few times over the years and she is very good.

Courtney Pritchett from Pickett County should get serious consideration for Class A Miss Basketball. She isn't going to average 25 points per game because they beat most people to death and when her team gets the lead she does an incredible job of being selfless and getting the rest of her team involved. However, one thing I would say about her is she would make any team in the state of Tennessee better. She fills up every statistical category on a stat sheet, almost averages a double-double and has led her team to the state tournament 3 times as a Freshman-Junior, with this year TO BE DETERMINED. Anyone who is voting on Class A Miss Basketball needs to personally go watch this young lady play. She is one of the best all around players to come through the Upper Cumberland in a long, long time.

    • Quick update on Jacob -  Jacob celebrated his 16th birthday at Vanderbilt on Tuesday and has been in decent spirits.  His sense of humor has begun to show as he was visited by many friends.  He is swallowing a lot better now and has eaten some of his favorites (Chik-Fil-A and Five Guys).   He is getting prepared to head to Atlanta to the Shepherd Center first thing tomorrow morning.  His family has been waiting on insurance approval. In case you dont know the Shepherd Center it a world class facility and supposedly one of the best in the country for spinal injury rehab.  Praying for perfect results there. Considering the circumstances, Jacob is in decent spirits.  He has some reflexive movement in his legs which I think is probably a very positive sign.  Don't read too much into that just yet as there is no telling what the real prognosis is... just hopeful that is good thing.  I am really just happy that it seems like he has a punchers chance of getting something back.  He is a strong young man and very determined so I think he will fight as hard as he can in physical therapy while down in Atlanta. More than one of you has asked me about an address to send donations.  I know GoFundMe isn't for everyone.  If you want to go that route, you can make a check to "Blackman Wrestling Club" and we will pass anything received directly to the Kinderdines.   Jacob Kinderdine c/o Blackman Wrestling 4836 Trevino Court Murfreesboro, TN  37128 Also, want to thank everyone who has donated so far.  Jacobs dad will take a month off work and stay in Atlanta with him.  They need to learn how to take care of him and do home therapy work..... and surely Jacob will be glad his dad can be there.  All that could not happen without you all.  Depending on what happens, they will probably end up doing some home remodeling in order to accommodate Jacob at their home.  Thanks again. Here's a pic I lifted from Facebook of Jacob on Oxy talking to his Uncle.  LOL

    • Science Hill has had a lot of athletes over the years as well.     I totally agree with you
    • You do know that on a young, down season we only lost to Dyersburg in the playoffs by less than a touchdown?! You act like those two teams are unbeatable and way above our skill level
