Headhunter42
Sounds like the Principle fired the wrong guy if the Asst. Coaches are this shady. If the Principal really is saying this is the reason she fired this guy she should be fired for sounding so ridiculous. Who cares if "ASSISTANT COACHES" do not plan to continue as coaches? Sounds like they need to let those guys go and hire some loyal ones anyway. I am curious to see if one of the current asst. coaches get promoted to Head Coach, then this will all be vey clear as to what has happened. Who would want to work with a guy that would display this kind of cutthroat behavior.
Wildman19
The head coach had been applying to other jobs long before this all took place. Began putting in job apps at different schools outside of the Chattanooga area a couple months back. He wanted out before this ever took place. He was not "Blindsided" as he saw this coming. Not denying that coaches might have offered to resign to speed the process up or denying any outside factors but do know that he was looking for a way out to begin with. The Principal might have caught wind of his job hunt and just helped speed up the process for him. sonofablitz37
The guy hired his own assistants. If offered to resign that doesn't sound like a mutiny. That sounds like bad head coaching. Red bank was super talented and quite frankly he just isn't that good. Obviously red bank has a culture problem...That's all we know for sure from this news. That's what the head coach gets defined on usually. Culture of the program.

Dogpound93
Well when the QB club and assistants hatch a plan to keep the head coach from replacing them on staff by resigning their coaching positions but keeping their teaching positions so he couldn't offer a teaching positions to assistant coaches. It kinda puts the principal in a bad position. A lot less liability in firing one (excuse me moving in a different direction) than it is to fire 3. Knew this change was coming at least from the Walker Valley game. Watching the coaches argue and fight on the sideline and then hearing about it from the kids...... Once again the adults drop the ball and the kids are the one to suffer. Interested to see how it shakes out. Just sayin

If its not true then explain his son telling kids at school otherwise that his dad was applying for jobs. He was just repeating what he was hearing at home and this was long long before he was fired. What many do not know about is the countless things that got swept under the rug while he was the head coach. I will tell you this the administration did what was in the best interest for that school and for that team. If it were not for a few of those assistant coaches that team would have not made it nearly as far as they did. He was applying for other jobs in the area specifically for schools in North Georgia and one school in Mississippi. He has been trying to get out for a while. But now he is trying to play the poor pitiful me card. But then again there are a lot I mean a lot of individuals who think they know and understand what went on here when many do not.
