1.  I know Trice and he is a good guy but I am not sure that a coach can legally tell a player what he can and can not do with regards to an offseason showcase.  You tick off the wrong family and Trice and the school system is in court spending tax payer dollars to defend themselves over a matter that could very easily have been avoided.    

2.  Everyone knows that many of the showcases are in place for the coaching staffs to make money.  However, if the family wants to spend the money and send the kid I really don't see a problem as it may put the kid on a teams radar.

Player made appeal to principal and he backed the coach. No mention of reinstatement. Player did nothing to deserve dismissal in the first place.

It is a privilege to play high school sports not a right. Sounds like they overplayed their hand before finding this out.

There's a reason the coach couldn't get a high school job in Rutherford County... even as an assistant.

The only 2nd chance was to transfer to the school of his choice and the principal would send in all the papers to make it happen
