I have no idea or insight on what happened but player health concerns is probably a big part of it I'd imagine.  Coaches wouldn't want their kids throwing a max effort bullpen on a Saturday after lifting heavy on Friday perhaps? Perhaps they are on some kind of throwing program and throwing 8 fastballs as hard as possible would be detrimental.  These college "showcases/camps" in the fall are for one thing, and one thing only... raising money to pay their volunteers and assistants.  Trice knows what he's doing.

Player didn’t workout at showcase

Why is noone talking about the decision of the Warren County coach kicking off his #1 pitcher off the team? I would bet there is 2 sides to this story and would like to hear more!!! Hope Waren dont lose anymore players because losing #10 will hurt in the district pitching rotation. Anybody have any thoughts on this ?

Looks like this brought out the Trice Powers fan club in full force (all 6 of them)!

1.  I know Trice and he is a good guy but I am not sure that a coach can legally tell a player what he can and can not do with regards to an offseason showcase.  You tick off the wrong family and Trice and the school system is in court spending tax payer dollars to defend themselves over a matter that could very easily have been avoided.

2.  Everyone knows that many of the showcases are in place for the coaching staffs to make money.  However, if the family wants to spend the money and send the kid I really don't see a problem as it may put the kid on a teams radar.

    • See that’s where you’re wrong my friend. If I was West, I would have made sure y’all stopped talking all that nonsense about my family months ago. You’d be scared to see my face or hear my name. You’ve got the wrong man. My kids still go to trousdale county schools and plan on staying. Lets be the Mr. Police you’re supposed to be and stop causing more problems than there already is.

    • Congratulations to Coach Runyon. He seemed to do a good job when I watched his teams play. He didn't coach like he was ready to retire. With that being said... both coaching positions in the same district open... which one of these jobs is the best job and why?  also, it is a coincidence that they both leave at the same time...
