I am sure they will want to prove the outgoing coach wrong for leaving.  The question now is who takes over at MC with that position open?

I think they will be more interested in proving the fans wrong , since some of them are the ones talking. But first they have to take care of the state tournament. We can discuss more after that. They will step up for whomever decides to be on the sideline.

MC had a good season and that coach is leaving.

I'm just saying, just because eagleville's season has ended doesn't mean Moore County's has.  FYI, that coach is still coaching and those girls are still playing.  Quit trying to create a rift when you have no idea what you are talking about.  According to her, she hasn't even applied for Tullahoma job.  It's not a fact until it happens, so stop reporting false news.

Not causing any rifts, just reporting what I and others were told at MC on Saturday night during the game. But, what coach would admit to applying for and accepting a job that was still playing?

Coach Josephson has the 1st refusal than its goes to Cody McMurtry the coach at West middle. But nothing won't be official til April.

Gladly take McMurtry off their hands if she leaves. He’s a good coach.

Did not say that the ms coach was not good, I do not know.  But why would they go from wanting  a hs coach to going the ms route in hiring?  Why have they not hired the ms coach before if that is the way they go?  MC would want ms coach?

I’ve watch that coach and he already knows all the girls there at Tullahoma since he coached them before. But I didn’t say you thought he wasn’t good! Who knows what MC would do.

So does MC coach leave or do they hire ms coach in house?  Did nobody else apply or are these two the top.  Time will only tell, as other positions become available this spring.

    • He may have possibly said that to get the best out of him. Back when I was in school word got out I was going to transfer and Coach Story popped off and ask Coach Wilson in front of the team if Maryville was going to get a jock strap in return on this trade. That got back to me and I got fired up and stayed just to show them up. Now today Coach Story is one of my best friends.
    • Dylan's Dad, I'm glad you replied. I wanted to reply but wasnt willing to take the bait. There were 20 wrestlers on the team. I may be mistaken and correct me if I'm wrong but I believe 5 of the 20 attend McCallie right now and one will next year. At most, there are/were 6 kids on that team who attend McC. That leaves 14 other team members who have ZERO affiliation with McC (outside of maybe some friends) who represented our state to the best of their ability and wrestled their butts off that weekend. That weekend was a first for Tennessee and obviously a small step in the right direction for us as a state. Congratulations TEAM TN BLACK!
    • Danny Wilson is the only one that come's to mind but I don't know where he is at now.
    • I am pro coach all day long but there are some knucklehead hires for sure.
