Clay County v Moore County

Who ya got and why?

I am going with Clay to pull the upset. Taking down Clarkrange in the district and then giving Pickett all they could handle in the region finals tels me they are fairly legit despite the 18-13 record.

Moore County by 10 points. Their gym will be full 2 hours before the game. They traveled well to Eagleville.

If Moore County loses you will be no where to be found.

Moore County will win by 15-20. Clay can't stay with them.

Clay County is getting alot of hype considering that if you take that one win in the District Tournament against Clarkrange away, they are 17-13 without a single win over a good team.

 

But hey, they could be peaking in late Feb/early March. Seen it happen many a times before. Hampton last year is a good example.

Its at Lynchburg. And it should be a good contest. No blow out one way or the other.

They beat Clarkrange which had been #1 most of the year. They nearly beat Pickett Co but they both had terrible games when they played Clay. PC beat them easily the week before by 16. It will be close.

Moore County being AT HOME is huge in this game. Had it been at Motlow, completely different scenario. At Lynchburg, with that atmosphere, Clay has to figure out a way to survive! Limit runs, control the tempo and not let the atmosphere get out of hand. If Moore County gets rolling and gets some momentum, WATCH OUT!!! Clay has to make sure they keep their emotions in check and maintain control. First time in this atmosphere vs a seasoned team from MC may be the difference. Strong and Arms have both been playing lights out though....so if they continue to do that, it could be a big time upset brewing for Clay County.
