Gregory may be destined to be a better college player or better next year, I 'll agree to that.. Carter game as of now may not translate to the next level like Gregorys will, but Carter at this time is a better "high school" player. Take Carter off Macon they are battling for 3rd and 4th. Take Gregory off they still have chance to win the district.

I agree but most girls take the biggest leap from freshman to sophomore year...….and yes Gregory is more the college type, and I think this year it will translate to the court. Just my opinion.

Hurst is a very good young player. I think this years will give you a much better look at her as a player. She will most likely draw the number 1 defender game in and game out. Something she didn't have to deal with last year with her older sister and Levy on the team. UHS plays York at York Dec 7th. They also play in the Nike tournament of champions in Phoenix, AZ Dec 19-22. Big test there most of the nations top 25 girls teams will be there.

This year will give a much better look to all the Upperman girls.  They will still be very good.  They are loaded with talented freshmen.  McClellan is a good post.  The older Sissom should be back by the start of season.  Mcwilliams will have them ready!

Imagine this Tennessee Tech wants to get back to the Bill Worrell days sign Hurst,Gregory ,and Johnson right now . And go get a few big girls and Rosamond will be back at the top of the Ovc. It's right here in your back yrd.

The old way of getting the best girls from around here won't win the OVC like it did in the 90's. Gregory might be an OVC level player, might, and the other will go on the play another sport. I don't know where Johnson will land.

I know someone,if she's healthy, can guard all of them. Look Gregory is an awesome player just like Carter, Smith, and Johnson. We ,as parents, ought to enjoy watching these young ladies- athletes play. They are plenty more in our district that can absolutely play. I don't think that the person that was talking about these girls was singling out any just because they play for a certain travel team. I see as much ball and been around it as much as he has

    • From my understanding, Jay Graham pretty much took over HC responsibilities in that game, so you can thank him. Cute Andy didn’t need help, though. Cute Andy could’ve beaten us without any assistant coaches.
    • Tax payer dollars are paid for certified teachers to "teach" and then coach. The primary job is to teach.  There are some district that ay awesome supplements and others that don't. Dyersburg and Dyer County are pretty close if I remember correctly. I would imagine that Football and basketball are above $10,000 now.  I've heard that Milan is $20,000 for boys basketball. I would imagine that football is more than that in Milan.  Collierville has camps that coaches get paid extra for. 3 camps a year, 100 kids a camp, $30,000 right there.  There are places like Memphis-Shelby County schools where the supplements are garbage even for the head coaches. I made less than $3,000 as the head assistant at Germantown in 2015 when we were 26-4 and one of the best teams in the Southeast. As a head middle school coach next year I will make between $4-5,000 at a municipal in Shelby County.  Coaches should be compensated for the jobs that are required but lets keep in mind that they are educators first.  It's pretty frustrating to other teachers that work their tale off teaching 6-7 classes a day to watch someone roam campus, not teach (or have very minimal responsibilities), and get paid the same (more with supplements) as a person who has the some years of experience or sometimes less.
    • This will get coaches leaving the profession very quickly if this kid wins this case. This is absurd...
