RELEVANT AGAIN ???????? Tullahoma has had 1 winning season since the turn of the century. They have never been relevant and will never be relevant lol

No you shop the U12 & U13 AAU leagues for all the good players. Than give fathers jobs and move them into that area. That is how you built a program in 80's, 90's and early 00's.

I think this is a smart hire for the time that THS is in. McMurty is not "just a middle school coach" as was suggested in other threads. He has experience at levels higher than high school and he truly has an interest in the kids of Tullahoma.

Does this mean that Mike Fredrick will be the new Head Football Coach at Tullahoma?

Mike Fredrick is the Middle School FB Coach correct?  From what is being said in Tullahoma is that Cody was a Kicker and Soccer player?  Whats his next level Girls Basketball Knowledge?

Why shouldn't a high school player be able to transfer and play ASAP?  If you get stuck in a losing program  shouldn't you be able to go play where you will get more looks?  In the 70's and 80's it was about community pride and winning.  Now It is all about next level.  Can I get there and who can help me!

If you are a really good player in Tullahoma why wouldn't you leave for a better program.  You shouldn't be held back.

This athletic programs in general are  Mediocor.  Look at the hires in the past.  The last great hire was John Olive 20 plus years ago

The problem is that if you open it up like that then you end up with recruiting going on in a much bigger way than it does now. Most kids that are good enough, like Duncan, aren't getting their college looks during the high school season. Those looks are coming from AAU ball these days. She plays in a well known AAU program, TN Flight I think. Her college looks will come from that not Tullahoma.

The other part of this is that her and her family chose Tullahoma to start with. They knew what the program was like when they went there, since they are from Manchester, she played at Coffee Co. Middle, and have been aware of the team(s) in Tullahoma the whole time. They already made their choice and it was to not play for Horton, former Coffee Co. coach, at the time she came out of the 8th grade which is when the TSSAA allows a student to move and play anywhere in the state that they choose. Tullahoma will never be a basketball town. It will always be baseball first, football second, and then everything else.

Was told private school somewhere in Murfreesboro. Who has connections to her aau in the private school?

No, Riverdale i heard that out of her own mouth during soccer season. I told our coach and we talked to her parents and they told us they couldn't afford the move. All this happened after Kyle Shippley got fired

    • He may have possibly said that to get the best out of him. Back when I was in school word got out I was going to transfer and Coach Story popped off and ask Coach Wilson in front of the team if Maryville was going to get a jock strap in return on this trade. That got back to me and I got fired up and stayed just to show them up. Now today Coach Story is one of my best friends.
    • Dylan's Dad, I'm glad you replied. I wanted to reply but wasnt willing to take the bait. There were 20 wrestlers on the team. I may be mistaken and correct me if I'm wrong but I believe 5 of the 20 attend McCallie right now and one will next year. At most, there are/were 6 kids on that team who attend McC. That leaves 14 other team members who have ZERO affiliation with McC (outside of maybe some friends) who represented our state to the best of their ability and wrestled their butts off that weekend. That weekend was a first for Tennessee and obviously a small step in the right direction for us as a state. Congratulations TEAM TN BLACK!
