TNscout2499
Is it a violation for a high school head coach to coach an AAU team made up entirely of players from the middle school that feeds into their program?
repoman
Nope.
Oleskooly
How many from the same high school can be on a team together. Or is there a rule?

HOOPSGURU
3 on a team is only in the Fall. There is no restriction on players from the same school in the spring or summer. HS coaches can coach MS kids.

Fan15
High School coach can coach any kid that is not on their team currently. As far as high school is, I believe you can even get away now with playing more than 3 on a team as long as their high school coach is not coaching them. ecu
If it is a feeder school, the HS coach cannot coach them if they are going to be playing for him.
plateauvol
The TSSAA does not recognize feeder schools. A high school coach can coach any student that does not attend his high school during the spring and summer.
QSouth89
I know it's been years since I was involved in AAU but can anyone explain how freshman are eligible to play in an 8th grade tournament. Not 14 and under it said 8th grade bracket. Also how can seniors (and graduated seniors) play in 11th grade tournaments?
IrishBBall
Unsigned seniors can play. Jack Sompayrac has been invited to play along with Brock Jancek for the Tennessee Bobcats. Tony White signed with College of Charleston after playing as an unsigned Senior. As far as the 8th grade situation, it may have to do with birthdates.
