The Rockwood score during the regular season was 48-27, and the game was much closer than the score. Yes, Aaron did take over the 2nd half, but we were fortunate to recover 2 onside kicks, which doesn't usually happen. And those 2 starters we lose were big difference makers.

It's good to be confident.....but we have a lot of work to do.

Only one was a really big difference maker. Baker was lazy and only played 3/4 of the play. Could’ve done so much more last year. Martin on the other hand will be missed.

At this point what would we say an unbiased top 10 preseason poll would look like in 2A.  This is just for fun of course I'm just curious where people think their team might stand. I'd put Meigs 3rd behind 1 Union City and 2 Tyner.

I think Union City is sitting a top that pole at #1. I had Tyner 2nd & then Peabody 3rd but after hearing about the news coming out of Peabody yesterday, I’m not so sure they’re a top 3 team in 2A now. Much less a top 5. Union City is still my favorite

I wish I could see more teams from the West play, I could make a better poll. I watched video of Waverly and their offense. And I watched Tyner against Rockwood. i know they aren't from the west but I hadn't seen them play, But without knowing how many starters return from the last years teams its hard for me to pick past the top 3

Despite what is thrown around on here, there is no difference between west and east in 2A.

It's really about tough as heck regions not east or west.  The region 3 winner is a force in East 2A virtually every year. Not sure what region is king out west but we all know the tough teams out west.

Region 7 is the slobber knocker region out of the west. Union City, Peabody, or Adamsville can play for a gold ball & can contend with anyone I think. Union City probably has the best chance & then I would say it’s a toss up between Peabody & Adamsville. I figured Peabody & UC were the heavy favorites coming from the west but since Peabody is without their QB for the year now, I’m not sure how they’ll finish.

I thought it was 7 but wasn't sure. I will say this after watching Tyner vs UC in the title game. UC looked very very physical upfront.

They are a very physical football team. They always have been for as long as I can remember. Waverly isn’t in region 7 but they are a team that can get a job done in the postseason.
