I think HHS could give them a good game but they will sure have to play better than they did last Friday.  Odds are that game will be for the region championship.  Should make for a great atmosphere!!

We will see how the two teams play down the stretch, but at the moment, I am not expecting Hendersonville to challenge Mt. Juliet any more than Rossview does this week. I think the Golden Bears beat both by 2-3 scores.

What do you mean by "aren't as good as advertised?"  As far as I have seen everyone expects them to go 10-0 and then lose quickly in the playoffs...   And there is very little doubt that they will be 10-0.

Did you think they would beat Lebanon 14-10 or a Wilson Central (who will likely end up 2-8) 21-7....

There is very little doubt because they play Glencliff, Red Boiling Springs, Sister Susans Academy etc. as non-region games.

I would say there is considerable doubt they go 10-0. Hendersonville is every bit capable of winning that game and might even be better.

“...but they’ve only given up 20 points”.

They have the kind of schedule a rebuilding program would have to try to find a couple wins. I originally thought they were guaranteed a first round win before the boat race, but I’m not so sure anymore.

I was at the Lebanon game against Station Camp tonight and sat on the SC sidelines.... That did not look like a team that came into the game with a 3-3 record.

The sideline looked like a morgue just minutes into the 1st quarter even though it was still a scoreless game. There was absolutely no energy.

They ran more or less the same handful of plays the entire game and may have ended up with 50 yards of offense. And they were running right into the strength of the Lebanon defense most of the night. In the 2nd half it got to where Lebanon was calling out some of the plays at the snap. Did they even do any scouting going into the game? I think they had 5 fumbles for turnovers, a missed field goal and 2 shanked punts that may have netted 5-10 yards.

Lots of grumbling from the Station Camp fans slowly turned into yelling at the coaches. Its kinda humorous to an extent. But then you start to feel bad for everybody involved mainly the kids. But it was coming from different people. I heard "Turn the playbook to page 2." and "Are we gonna run the ball left or right this time" etc.

Props to Lebanon they played well. #6 Shannon had several big runs and put some moves on some people in the open field.

But yeah Station Camp they didn't look like they were remotely ready to play.

    • Ouch! If he's in the scrap business maybe
    • That's a nice story but has little to nothing to do with what we're talking about.
    • The winds of change are blowing in Hartsville.     Will be an interesting follow.    Would go back to the 90s and turn black the clock!
    • Did he promise you a coordinator job or something if he ever got a head coaching job? He resigned? He was at the top of the dugout last night calling plays. I wonder if those 30+ parents would let him give their kids a ride. by the way the board meeting was last night and it was not mentioned. must have been at the work session earlier this week which is not public. must be trying to keep it quiet.  Since you know so much, how much is Robbie Atwood willing to pay Adam Cothron?  Didn't you slander Eden earlier on here? You also didn't know he was a faculty coach again so how much do you really know? Some people outside this county baffle me with their need to slander others.
    • He resigned smh, and have you ever heard of charged but not convicted. Some people in this county baffle me with their need to slander others. Have you asked any of the 30+ parents that signed a petition to get him reinstated at the board meeting this week how they feel about this? Just let it play out, at the end of the day the only people that will bring TC back are the ones that know what its about at its core.    People hate losing and they aren't used to it at TC. I for 1, and I'm sure others too, understand having a dip in talent and not being able to compete for a state title every year. But in the past, TC teams have outworked more talented teams, they didn't continuously lose the turnover battle, they didn't commit 8+ penalties in several games each season, and I believe several of the folks in town that want Blake out feel as if he is neglecting the history of the program. This is from a source that used to be extremely close to the program (not me lol), Blake gets out of school midday and the players show up and there is no practice plan or itinerary.  I also understand those that are on team Blake, when he has loads of talent, he wins. He does know football and he is a tremendous DC, and if the rumors are true then he will do great things. As for the board member issue, it is what it is, everyone that's true to the county know that and nothing has changed. I agree though that they should strive to make the facilities as good as we can. And as far as potential candidates, I agree there is very few options. West, Vetetoe (yes I know), and couple others that could have some interest. Whatever happens is massive for the program during a pivotal time before the next big wave of stars make their way through.
