Tennessee Softball Coaches Association Awards

Recommended Posts

Congratulations to all the girls that made the following lists from across our great state. These lists were comprised from nominations from our member schools. With the enormous amount of nominations that were turned in and how great so many of our softball players were, it was very difficult to narrow it down. We know, as with any list such as these, there are probably going to be somebody we missed, but please know that nothing was done intentional and please respect the girls that were chosen. If your team was not a member school they were not eligible and you need to tell your coaches to join for next year. We will be sporting a brand new website starting in August and look to draw in even more great schools to our organization. The schedule for our All Star game is below and we hope everybody can make it out to watch some great softball!

Game will be played at Friendship Christian in Lebanon, Tn., 5400 Coles Ferry Pike Lebanon, TN 37087

The Middle team will play the East team at 12 p.m., followed by West vs. East at 2 p.m. and finishing with West vs. Middle at 4 p.m.

There will be a Home Run Derby between the 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. games. Miss Softball, Hall of Fame and All-State players will be recognized between the 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. games.

Following the three games, the Tennessee All-Star team will be selected to face the Kentucky All-Stars on Wednesday June 27th at South Warren High School in Bowling Green Kentucky. This is the 13th Game between the Tennessee and Kentucky All Stars!

The selection of East Tennessee AAA player of the year was most definitely intentional.  You have William Blount, Walker Valley, Ooltewah, and Powell all from East Tennessee who all made it to the TSSAA AAA State Tournament. The East Tennessee teams mentioned above finished in the top four with 1st - Powell 2nd - Walker Valley 3rd - Ooltewah 4th - William Blount.  You give the award to a teams player who didn't even make it out of district and her coach just so happens to be your coach for the All Star team.  What coaches did you contact?  I'm sure she is a good player but come on do the right thing!!  According to schedules looks like AC played two of teams, I would love to know what she did stat wise against the Ooltewah and Powell pitchers.

Imatiger, you have classifications and school sizes all messed up for some girls and teams.
I agree with TrueThoughts  on the East Tenn. AAA player of the year selection being very suspect.

They're selected from teams with coaches who are part of the TSCA. If a deserving player is not on  it, ask your coach is he or she is in the association.
