It seems like Jeff is being given way too much power in the eyes of some. It's just hard for some to hear the truth. NCS admin and board have handed the keys to Brothers. With them he's running off players and coaches. Folks he ran off his best friend Philip Montgomery. Another fact: Philip Montgomery is the best football coach to ever coach at NCS. Also a fact: This year's team will look more like a 9/10 year old HYSA youth soccer team than an NCS football team from recent years and there is nothing in the pipeline. Why? Because there is no Philip Montgomery or John Crosby. BUT, there is a Jeff Brothers!

Not going to put nobody business out there but it's crazy over there from a 10 min conversation.

I spoke with Xavier's parents. They said they asked Brother to communicate with them about his recruiting. Brothers never did. Not a word. They told Brothers that it was a possibility he could leave back in March. And nothing from the head coach for 3 months. I don't blame them one bit. I know there have been other things with other players but how does a coach not want to help his Mr. Football RB get recruited? Brothers will not have a good year. NCS wins 3 games max! NCSdad23
Ex Brentwood High AD Ron Seigenthaler is now the new AD at NCS. Brothers stepped down from that role but did promote himself to Director of Operations. LOL Very good timing! Hopefully he can right the ship. I only follow from afar these days, but sounds like things have gotten a little messy of late.
Brave1
From an inside source I do think they have a mess on their hands. Will Brothers weather the storm or look to move to greener pastures?

Montgomery was the reason all the talent came to NCS. What is happening at NCS is just like what happened at JPII when Brothers was there. There is a reason an all region lineman and back to back years both starting RB have bailed on that guy. IMO the reason that Jeff left JPII was due to the school not offering the financial aid that he was promised when he accepted the job. JPII created their own problems and have never recovered. I will be the first to admit that I don't have a clue as to the problems at NCS but I know about JPII and what happened.

I don’t think NCS has to worry about a PJPII situation regarding financial aid. NCS is losing players, so they are throwing financial aid to a bunch of kids to come to NCS......even kids who have to throw a year of eligibility away to do so (‘18-‘19 season). I blame that on the ignorance of the parents however. Grass Not always greener on the other side. But, NCS must have some sweet talkers to get parents to agree to throw away a teenagers eligibility to come play ball in ‘19-‘20. They only get 4 years to play unles they play as 8th graders. But, NCS is not only small private school doing this. I have witnessed kids practice with their teams all summer & Spring to suddenly disappear, only to reappear at small privates. Puts publics in a bad spot. IMO
ocac
I will also add that it is up to the school to adhere to TSSAA rules and not play these kids for 365 +1 days to avoid TSSAA sanctions. At that point, TSSAA must enforce their own rules and hold all involved accountable. In most cases, this takes place. It is just a shame to have kids throw away a year of eligibility. Church League basketball and slow pitch softball tourneys are closer than these kids & parents think.
wildcat89
Wow! Thought I'd come over to the D2 board to check on my old friends and can't believe what I'm reading! NCS used to be one of the tightest group of coaches/players/parents in high school football, what has happened? Seems like making the jump to D2 is taking its toll on the eagles, not as much fun playing on their own level instead of tiny 1A schools with several sec caliber players year in and year out. Not on here to bash, was just hoping to chat with carguy and ncsdad a little, good luck and hope y'all get this straightened out
