Hopefully our secondary who are another year taller, bigger, stronger & quicker will have a say in the Rams air attack. We’ll see how it plays out but sure are looking forward to the task!

You’ve got the best team in 1A for one more season. You shouldn’t have many close games in 2018.

Well we have to get the job done. We are losing a lot after the 2019 class for sure but we will still have the potential to make some noise with key starters on the line and skill returning. Many haven’t seen the Riddle twins little brother yet and he is a little spit fire. Got a nice 2020 transfer from Seymour. Got a rising Junior LB that is coming into his own and should see playing time this season. If we can develop a couple more linemen and have a QB ready (have a rising Sophomore-Kayne Roberts step brother with nice size) we might surprise a few. Don’t forget Bailey & Willis plus Carlton & rising Sophomore Alexander who played a lot of line as a Freshman. We lost a lot in 2015 graduating class too and were expected to be rebuilding and we went to State championship so until 2019 is here and we see where we are who knows. I would on paper give SP the upper hand as of right now though. Looking forward to 2018!!!

This is really the only game I care about this year. If we go 1-9 and beat Grace the season will be a success in my eyes.

I want to go 10-0!!!! We’re greedy! That game is definitely circled but we gotta take care of Loudon at Loudon in true Cherokee fashion first. I’m talking a good ole butt whooping!

I heard a rumor that the Edwards kid tore his ACL is that true.

I certainly hope that this news turns out to be better than this post. He’s a good player and I’d hate to see him miss this year. Trust me when I say how sincere I am about my wishes for Edwards and his family.

Anybody that returns as many starters as GB, especially in a watered down 1A, should dominate. SP won it all in 07 and had a good core coming back in 08 but ran up against TC in the tundra.

Greenback not winning back to back in 1A this season would be the biggest letdown maybe in 1A modern history. It’s not everyday a team wins it all then returns 9-10 starters on each side of the ball. It simply doesn’t happen often. We had some teams that won it all then returned 6-7 each way, but what they return after winning it all is unheard of..

    • The winds of change are blowing in Hartsville.     Will be an interesting follow.    Would go back to the 90s and turn black the clock!
    • Did he promise you a coordinator job or something if he ever got a head coaching job? He resigned? He was at the top of the dugout last night calling plays. I wonder if those 30+ parents would let him give their kids a ride. by the way the board meeting was last night and it was not mentioned. must have been at the work session earlier this week which is not public. must be trying to keep it quiet.  Since you know so much, how much is Robbie Atwood willing to pay Adam Cothron?  Didn't you slander Eden earlier on here? You also didn't know he was a faculty coach again so how much do you really know? Some people outside this county baffle me with their need to slander others.
    • He resigned smh, and have you ever heard of charged but not convicted. Some people in this county baffle me with their need to slander others. Have you asked any of the 30+ parents that signed a petition to get him reinstated at the board meeting this week how they feel about this? Just let it play out, at the end of the day the only people that will bring TC back are the ones that know what its about at its core.    People hate losing and they aren't used to it at TC. I for 1, and I'm sure others too, understand having a dip in talent and not being able to compete for a state title every year. But in the past, TC teams have outworked more talented teams, they didn't continuously lose the turnover battle, they didn't commit 8+ penalties in several games each season, and I believe several of the folks in town that want Blake out feel as if he is neglecting the history of the program. This is from a source that used to be extremely close to the program (not me lol), Blake gets out of school midday and the players show up and there is no practice plan or itinerary.  I also understand those that are on team Blake, when he has loads of talent, he wins. He does know football and he is a tremendous DC, and if the rumors are true then he will do great things. As for the board member issue, it is what it is, everyone that's true to the county know that and nothing has changed. I agree though that they should strive to make the facilities as good as we can. And as far as potential candidates, I agree there is very few options. West, Vetetoe (yes I know), and couple others that could have some interest. Whatever happens is massive for the program during a pivotal time before the next big wave of stars make their way through.
