How to post a recap

This new sub-forum is a place for members to post game recaps.  This is a "no-reply" zone, so if you want to discuss a game, you may do so over in the usual forums.  The members posting here are doing so out of the goodness of their heart, so be appreciative and supportive of their contributions.

Please follow the structure below.  Low quality posts may be removed.

If you are going to submit game recaps, do so within 24 hours of the game.  The topic title (headline) should along the lines of "Team A defeats Team B in Week X" or "Team C takes Team D to overtime in region opener."  Only capitalize proper nouns.

Must-haves:

1. Who defeated who? Avoid using mascot names, use school names instead.
2. What was the score?
3. What sport and level of competition?
4. Where was the contest held?

Nice-to-haves:

1. Highlight the key players. Who played a particularly good game?
2. Highlight a pivotal part of the game. How did teamwork or smart play affect the outcome?
3. Give some basic stats for teams or impactful players.

Icing-on-the-cake:

1. Recap the scoring.  For football, write about each scoring drive and how each came to fruition.
2. How did the game impact the postseason?
3. Who/when/where do the teams play next?
