Last year's game kind of went that way for WB. We had a touchdown called back, we had a pass picked off right near the goal line right before halftime, we had a kickoff return that would have been six had one guy blocked his man, and we had a huge defensive blunder early in the game that left an LC receiver wide open and resulted in LC's first touchdown.  

It was a good game tonight and I am glad WB came out on top.

Listening on the radio I heard William Blount only had one first down the whole second half and it was from a penalty and they still won!

Yep, that's right. Our defense shut them down the 2nd half. But our offense either missed opportunities, or we shot ourself in the foot with penalties. Give WB credit, their defense played hard. LC just didn't do enough with the opportunities they were given.

Very proud of our defense. They bent but did not break. It was good to see that we were able to play several different players on that side of the ball and didn't miss a lick. Good job

If you had told me the defense would win the game I would have said you were crazy. And if you had told me it would be the secondary making big plays I would have laughed in your face. 

It was a pleasant surprise to see the defense play so well. I watched the replay of the Greenback jamboree game on Thursday night, and I thought the Govs were in big trouble. Even Shad said he was surprised by how well the defense played.
