Whitwell lost 22-14 vs JMS last night. Two weeks where they had a shot to win in both games. Talent not completely drying up like some have said. As far as Seq vs MC, this will come down to if Seq can tackle in space and if MC can stop Hicks.

Going to be a close one. I see it going either way. Actually a huge game in terms of Wins and losses. Both teams still have some tough games left on the schedule.

where you at the game?  aside from one long run(which the drive was stalled after that) whitwell didn't do much all night.  Scored after a jasper turnover at the jms 10, and the other score came after a long kickoff return setting up a short field at the end of the game.   Not very much in between.  Plus you have Jay Blevins led crew so naturally jms had about 150 ytds in penalties.  I will agree with this much though, whitwell had some big boys and nice looking players.  Jms will get better, lots of 6th and 7th graders starting on that team.

Ready to see some football tonight. Hopefully the line for MC is a little better than expected. With a new offense and a change of DC, I expect to see some growing pains. Hopefully we get an exciting injury free game.

Not taking anything away from JMS. Some have stated Whitwell is going back into the dumpster which isn't entirely true. Marion has a bright future for sure.

Now... don’t go picking on Jay Blevins. He’s a good ole boy. Big boy football coming tonight. I think I’m going to try and get there by the fourth quarter. I’d like to see these two square off.

The next coach at Marion should have some good talent to work with it sounds like anyway.
