Early Class AA Predictions

Here's a super early Class AA prediction: What are your thoughts and predictions for this class?

1.) Macon Co.

2.) Nolensville

3.) Cumberland Co

4.) Cheatham Co.

5.) Grainger

6.) East Nashville

7.) South Greene

8.) Westview

9.) Maplewood

10.) Gatlinburg-Pittman

(Potentials: Upperman, Jackson SS., Meigs Co.)

Your list speaks to how weak AA will be this year. Macon County is the favorite, BUT I think Westview is too low, South Side is a top 10 team and McNairy Central should be in that top 10 as well.

Good list but Upperman won't fall out of the top 10. They return 3 starters and 6 of the top 8 from last season. There freshman class is loaded.  I agree Macon is the top team with Carter and Gregory. They will be a hard duo to handle if they both stay healthy. They should play 8-9 deep this year with some quality role players.

Meigs will be in the top 10, they’ve been led by freshman and sophomores for the last two years, they should be in a substate game again this year.

Number one is bout right..tough group..they lost a tough game last yr..Coach White does a good job and they should finally get a w over Upperman. Has been a while.

Agree Meigs will probably play Macon or Crossville or even maybe Upperman substate,Meigs can ball!!

I say Macon or Crossville, ether one would be a tough game, need to play a home to have a good chance.

Macon Co for sure! and Maplewood.  Jackson Southside and Lexington both will compete in West TN

Maplewood is projected to have one the most talented teams in the state. They have a ton of height and athletic ability. They have had a bunch transfers from Hillsboro, McGavock, and surrounding Nashville areas come into their girls program the past couple years. Which should be a red flag for TSSAA. They're in the same district (or region - not sure) as East & Pearl Cohn who has dominate the past 4 seasons.

They don't lack skill at all - Be on the look out for these girls to make a run!

You can always count on Upperman's program to make noise every season. You  can never count those girls out!
