Fulton @ Powell

I picked Powell as my surprise team for this year before the season started.

We will find out just how good they are when Fulton comes to town. I like Powell's chances in this one especially after the way Fulton looked against Central. 

Should be an interesting game!

How did Fulton look with Central? Is Central that bad or is Fulton bad or both?

Powell hasn't seen the speed in their first two opponents that they will see Friday night. Fulton and Central's defenses played lights out for 3 quarters and just ran out of gas. Fulton radio after the game had Fulton w/ 215 yds. of offense, Central w/ 204. Matt has Powell moving back up, but they will be hard pressed to match a Fulton team with 24 seniors.

Fulton should win this one, but it will be closer than some think. Powell hasn't given up a point yet, although it helps that they played Halls and Cumberland County to kick the season off. This Fulton team has a ton of overall speed, but it doesn't look like they are built to dominate up front. In the end, these Panthers just aren't deep enough, or disciplined enough, to win this one.

I heard Powell best DT got kicked out of game for a personal foul ... you have to sit out 1 game right?? On ejections ???

Powell had a kid on offense get ejected on Friday, but it was late in the game when all of the starters were pulled. Never heard officially who it was, but he won't be playing this week.

Matches is back with a prediction. I think Rob Black is going to make Matt Lowe eat some of that humble pie this week. I like Fulton in this battle. Powell hasn't seen the speed of Fulton and the last two teams they have played (Halls/Cumberland) didn't even bring a defense to the game and Knox County football is all about that D-FENCE. Fulton has some underrated downhill thumpers. That's all I have on this one. I'll hang up and listen.

Powell is on the rise, but hasn't came up enough for this one just yet.  I predict powell to keep it close for 2 or 3 quarters, but Fulton runs away with it late in the game.  Fulton by 18+ (I would say 21, but they don't hit their extra points)

IF Powell can get to the QB and hit him it will be a tight game.

Powell will play us tough and Fulton will be much better than they were in the first game. I say final score is 34-17.

No contest here...it won't be close. If it is close, then Fulton isn't as good as I thought. They didn't look too good against Central, but they're much better than that.

Key to watch ..... Defensive Coordinator at Powell .. Coach Smoker is a LONG time Fulton assistant coach.. knows Fulton offense and defense inside out .. how much will this play a factor ????
