5AAA Predictions

1. Bradley Central (Return everyone but Howard)

2. East Hamilton (Hayes returns for Jr season and should be MVP, losing Suttles will hurt with depth)

3. Cleveland (Should be strong with alot of returners from last season)

4. McMinn (Has a strong group coming back led by Hennessey)

5. Walker Valley (Will be led by Sr PG Abby Davis)

6.  Ooltewah (The addition of Kaiyanna Suttles will definitely improve this team)

7.  Soddy Daisy (Has a tough road ahead replacing the graduating class from last season)

 

This region should also be exciting this season as it could be as competitive with potentially 6-8 teams vying for the substate births.

The district is hard to predict this season.  I would not count walker out of the mix just yet.  Plus Cleveland has added a transfer that should be a difference maker from bradley.

Cleveland Daily Banner reported that the coaches and media unanimously chose Bradley as the top team.  With Bradley loosing Howard, I’m surprised that East Hamilton wasn’t chosen for the top spot. With the Hayes’ sisters being a junior and a freshman, they are going to be tough to beat.  Thoughts?

Walker Valley lost several seniors off last years team. They won’t be competitive with top 3 teams for sure.

What transfer from Bradley to Cleveland?

I agree that's pretty much the way they'll finish. I doubt if any team from 5AAA will make it to state tourney.

Cleveland girls beat East Hamilton Friday, but I heard that 3 EH starters were sat out of game.  The elder Hayes played, but hard to beat anyone with 3 starters out...

I've heard Cleveland girls coach has been running his mouth too much on the radio. He got his team put on probation last year for illegal practice with middle school girls by the TSSAA. Only thing he has ever won was a few middle school games at Rhea county. Ask the Rhea county administration, like Jesse messimer what they think about him!!! Couple of key kids are looking to move to walker valley or bradley at xmas break that he doesn't even know about.

Abbey Davis(Walker Valley) is a real good player! Fun to watch! Cleveland has a good young team and can only get better! McMinn is led by Burns and Hennessee 2 real good Seniors! E Ham has some great athletes and players but Bradley is deep! Look for Bradley 1 and EHam, McMinn, Cleveland, and WV all compete for 2-4 in no particular order!
