CCHS and Powell appeared to look sloppy. I would have thought Powell would have did better. But CCHS were sloppy too. May have been rain. Be interesting to see how these two team play West.

That was just a bad game overall, although the rain was definitely a factor. Neither QB could grip the ball, and it showed. CC couldn't run the ball at all, and their QB was clearly not 100%. The guy could barely move around, although CC's O-line did a fantastic job of keeping the pocket clean. Last week against Gibbs, the Cougars were up 27-0 when he got hurt. They ended up losing a heartbreaker, 34-27. They are in a lot of trouble if he's not healthy going forward.

CC hit some chunk/big pass plays in the game, and that kept them in it. Powell ran the ball at will and they won the turnover battle, but they had ~20 penalties (>150 yards!), which wiped out a couple of long TDs, a pick-6, and killed multiple drives. In the end, Powell looked like the better team, but they don't have a chance against West, OR, and SD if they can't clean up the penalties.

Yeah they have a good record (Powell) but unless some changes occur and in high school football, that can happen in a week believe it or not, but OR Fulton may currently be playing at different levels.

That Fulton game was really good. Both defenses played incredibly well. Fulton scored with about 3 min to play to put it away.

The game against West is going to be really interesting, imo.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
