It was sure nice to see our TRUE Cherokeans get their TD's all except we missed one which I enjoy watching play #23. Good Job  Blake, Riddle, Cody, and even our little 9th grader on your TD'S. Hope to see more on #23 next game. GO KEE'S

Congrats to ALL of the players for their effort and success.

I just saw the film. 6 touches for #6??? I know he just started practicing, but dadgum, that kid is a stud! I know you guys have them all over the field, please don’t take this the wrong way, but  6 for 6 will be your play call along with Hanley and his triple, quadruple, quintuple threat in the passing game. Hopefully the other back gets healthy and can contribute on the defensive side too. It’s a Team Game, takes all 11 on each side to get it done. Good luck, y’all have always been a great game to play and compete against.

#23 did the job he needed to do this game....got 5 passes for 5 receptions and close to 100 yards receiving and gave some key downfield blocking for his teammates. Our team scored 49 points in blowout fashion with a lot of those scores coming from inside the red zone running our power run Jumbo set. If he’s in on that he’s TE blocking most of the time which he loves to do. We scored in different ways this game which makes us extremely balanced & able to execute whatever we need to down the road. It’s not always about the TDs. There is so much more to football! They all want in that end zone which I admire. Everybody just needs to keep their head on straight and take advantage of opportunities given because we have so so many weapons. Can’t wait for #24 to get back! I know he’ll be hungry to get after it!

I know you mean #22 (#24 last year) and he is definitely ready to get after it.  He hoped to be back for the Grace game but looking like the Midway game at this point.  He's a great young man and ready to get out there and help his team!

Yes meant #22 thanks for correcting me. Should have remembered that number change with already having another new bruiser in wearing #24.

Working him along slowly to mesh well with the others and they all looked to get along great.New players had a great team attitude and they all looked to have fun Fri.He will come in handy when we have that tough hard hitter tho.All the boys looked sharp Fri for such a quiet game.Just do work boys!Im hearing we may be full strength by playoffs.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
