I wouldn’t pay much attention to that statement... It’s just football and the competitiveness we lacked that night. If we seen GC another time we would be able to name the score, but I doubt that will happen.

Why yes you did. Honestly the outcome is exactly what I'd expect when a very talented 2A school plays what is truly a mediocre talented 1A sized school.
