Covington @ Crockett County

Covington will travel to Alamo for this one. I know that CC was ranked in the AP top 10 for 4A at one time this season. I understand that they have had some unexpected losses since then. Our Chargers were rolling along well until last week, when South Gibson County came in and did everything but beat us. We escaped with a 28-27 win that could easily been a 29-28 loss, if SGC had converted their two-point conversion attempt at the end of the game.

So, how good is Crockett this year? If they look at last week's video, they will see that you can throw the ball on our defense. Can they pass the ball? What's your input?

If y'all shut down the run ya'll will destroy them. We played them two weeks ago and beat them 41-14, all they throw are combacks seems and about 3 deep balls again other than that its run run run.  They're defense will wear down as well. and y'all will out match there speed

Thanks for the info. We are better against the run than the pass. That should help.

It appears that Covington and Crockett County have played 10 times since 1997. Covington leads the series 7-3, with a 35-30 win last year in Covington. Let's see how it turns out this year.

NEWS FLASH !!!

I understand that the Covington- Crockett County game has been moved from Friday night 10/19 to Thursday night 10/18. Apparently the move is weather-related, since rain is forecast for Friday evening.

Covington wins 27-6. It was 7-6 at the half. Covington took the second half 20-0.

Only 1 game remains in the regular season.
