Jarel Dickson- 77 carries 9 yards a carry 699 total yards. 14 total TDs.

Noah Halbrook- 29 catches 21.9 yards a catch 636 total recieving yards. 8 total TDs

Good choices.  I would throw Baugus in there too.  Stats are not always a good indication of the best athlete.  Our guys play shut down defense in the first half and they score a lot of points which lead to early departure for our starters.  Jarel Dickson is no doubt the best running back in this area.  Hands down!

Wow, but how long are these players playing? 2 or 4 quarters.  Peabody's QB would do the same if given the opportunity.  But the offense is so balance, this will not happen.  He is an awesome QB who makes good decisions.  I hope these two teams meet in the semis.  This will be offense vs offense and our defense and their lack of.  The further you get in the playoffs, you gotta play defense. Roll Tide

I go through this every week when preparing my show.   The amount of programs that don't get their kids stats out there online is AMAZING!   I also have a Mr. Football vote, but I use word of mouth as much as anything as a determining factor since I speak to so many Coaches and fans each year.   The Stats are either unavailable or only reflect 1/2 of a football game in many instances.

I'm not gonna reward a 3-7 team's player who racked up a ton of 4th quarter stats against the other teams two's while dominant team like Whitwell or Cornersville has kids sit out the second half.

I really feel the TSSAA should create a committee of media involved STATEWIDE to determine these awards and have no bias to any particular area.   Just my two cents.

Very Good post.  Take a long look at Jarel Dickson. Great player and Christian role model.  Oh yeah, he is a beast.  Go to WNWS.com and watch him vs TCA.  10 carries 187 yards in two quarters.  Could have easily 300 yards

Hudson Petty and Josh Wingo are the ones for me!

Wingo - (Per unapproved website) 880 on 85 with 10 TDs  10 per carry

Petty - (Per unapproved website) All-Purpose 780 14 TDs With 104 total tackles.

Don't forget about Ashworth rushing for 637 yards on 66 averaging 9.7 per carry for 10 TD's as a QB. His completion  rate for passing is 74.4% with 15 TD's. And 1258 yards passing. That's with him only playing a couple of quarters a game. And when he does slide in on defense, hes got 25 tackles, 5 for loss, and a sack.
