**Limited action due to blowouts by half-in other words the dawgs get called off and we are playing with running clock and just moving the chains for the most part. Limited on D as well throughout season.

If these stats plus the eye test aren’t worthy of a Mr. Football nomination in comparison to other 1A players this season I don’t know what is.

2017 14-1 State Champs MVP/All State

2018 10-0 to date ranked #1 in AP poll

All stats from unapproved website reported from information weekly from official team stat keeper. If there are any errors or inconsistencies please chime in so these can be reported for review so these guys #s are accurate. They do a good job keeping up with this but there can always be human error involved with so many numbers to enter.

Thanks for the nod Bass but hard for a WR to get in the mix here without gawdy stats. We are just too balanced run/pass and we share the wealth with so much talent on this squad. However here are the numbers. Not a bad Junior season!

Greenback #23 Holden Willis WR/FS

Season Totals
Games Played    9
Offense - Receiving Totals
Receptions    36
Receiving Yards    855
Yards Per Catch    23.8
Receiving Yards Per Game    95
Receiving TDs    12

Offense - Off. Fum and Pnk Blks Totals
Offensive Fumbles    0
Offensive Fumbles Lost 0

Defense - Tackles Totals
Solo Tackle    15
Total Tackles    37
Tackles For Loss    3.0
Defense - Interceptions Totals
Interceptions    3
Interceptions Yards    ??
Yards Per INT    ??
Interceptions Returned for TD  1 (50 yards)
Scoring - Points Totals
Total TDs    13
Total TD Points    78
Total Conversion Points    0
Total Points    78
Points Per Game    8.67
Scoring - Touchdowns Totals
Rushing TDs    0
Receiving TDs    12
Total TDs    13

Solid #s to be proud of and many key blocks as well throughout the season. Passes caught to passes dropped ratio is insane but if you get your hands on it you should catch it right?? On other teams he probably gets a lot more targets but balance wins championships and we’ll take those all day long!! Plus OnB would croak without a little smash mouth run game lol!

You are correct!  I edited stat to 30 and added the INT returned for TD. Now you Math genius wanna take a stab at calculating the QB rating since I would assume 5 additional TDs would drive that rating up.

Caleb Hawkins a Junior at Ripley High School deserves some Mr. Football Kicker thought. His stats for the year are as follows.

23-23  on PATs

8-14 FGs, however he is 7-9 on FGs under 50 yds. All of his makes have been from 40 or beyond except for 2 kicks.

Season long is a 52 yarder in the rain.

13 Touchbacks

33.3 yd Punt Average

Good kicker is like a Unicorn I have found. They are few and far in between from the games i have seen the last 5 years.

Hawkins is a good kicker and a great kid. His Dad kicked at Auburn and now is a preacher in Ripley. Guess the apple didn't fall far from the tree.

    • I am pro coach all day long but there are some knucklehead hires for sure.
    • This is a great question. The retirement seemed a little premature. I do not know the coach personally, but I hope he has found what he is looking for. He is a fine Christian man with a lot of principle and morals about him. I wish him nothing but the best. There are some players in the box for the next coach. This is going to be interesting to see how it plays out.
    • Agree? Your the one defending a dude with your life for getting a DUI. That's the worst thing on here.
    • Can’t believe no one posted on this and gave this team the recognition they deserve!  AAU team Tennessee went to Iowa and done what no other team had ever done and took down Iowa and the strength by holds in AAU nationals!!! Yes McCallie had a solid group of 8th graders and they showed up but we had an AAU team that wrestled their butt off and we didn’t just place in the top 5 … we won the whole dang thing! Yes the NHSCa’s were happening and that may have hurt but never once had TN ever won the national folkstyle duals national championship!!  It was a team effort and some amazing young kids!!!    We are not a fly over state any more… on a side note : we have any even better team for cadet National's team duals in Utah and have a chance to sweep both duals which would be unprecedented!!! However the funds aren’t there and USA isn’t in th position to help these kids get to utah as was AAU that got us to Iowa! Stay tuned for some oppertunities to help make a statement for Tn!!!
