Tennessean's Supernatural 25 (10-18-18)

I like that they're doing a statewide poll this year.  I don't like seeing CPA at #5, first time I've ever seen BA behind CPA... There's a lot more ways to move down than up.  Just being idle this week will probably move us down a few spots...

How do you guys feel about this list?  I think Pearl-Cohn and Hillsboro would beat a good number of teams on it.  Greeneville should be higher (swap them with #5).  Odd to see McCallie behind BA despite the head to head win.  Smyrna has a pretty good team this year also, I could see them beating some of the teams listed.

Find it odd that two D2AA teams are above ANY D2AAA teams. Might be time for some teams to move up if they are that good!

It's an outlier year for CPA, athlete-wise... I can't say the same for the other team, seems like they might can reload every year.  BA would still beat both in a playoff game.

It's really hard to compare across divisions, since there are so few games between divisions.  CPA and Lausanne have been very impressive this year.  No doubt they would be very competitive in D2AAA, but I'm not sure they would be the top 2 teams.  I agree that this poll seems a little off, at least concerning D2AAA:

MUS beat MBA

MBA beat McCallie

McCallie beat BA 

So, based on that, MUS should be the highest and BA should be the 4th or 5th ranked D2AAA team (maybe CBHS higher as well?).  But comparing scores, as everyone knows, is fool's gold.  I'm sure nobody really cares where they're ranked 2 weeks before the playoffs.  Tonight's MBA/BA game should be great.

I went to the MBA / BA last year as it falls on CPA’s bye. Might do the same this or I was thinking about driving to Jackson to see USJ / Lausanne...

The difficult thing about D2AAA is that there are a number of good teams and all the teams are well coached.  There are very few games that can be won by simply showing up.  IMO if some of the higher ranked D1 teams were required to play a D2AAA schedule they would have 2 or 3 losses due to being physically beat up.

Is the game even physical anymore? I hear folks wine about us being to physical and hitting to hard and it's not like we have 6"3 235 pound LB neither. More like 5"9 180 pounds lol
