Makes sense that after charges that serious, they shouldn't have been allowed to be a part of the regular student body or play sports of any kind.

But if this is true then those kids were playing illegally, since they were suppose to be in alternative school. How is this crying if these kids were allowed to play football and attend school, when in facts they were not suppose to be. It must be a big deal if the principle was demoted to another school to finish out til June and retire.

I would hate to see this other kids get punished especially if the administration was really not aware that they were not supposed to be in a regular school. However If i were the coach or administration I would not have let them on the team to start with. Made their own beds.

Sucks for the kids on the team who didn't do anything wrong, but how does the TSSAA not penalize them for playing kids that were supposed to be ineligible when they've penalized other programs for things much less serious than this?  Were they just on the team or did they actually play in the varsity games?

I cannot fathom that no one from Sequatchie would not have called TSSAA in advance for eligibility. However TSSAA may not have had all the factors when they gave the OK. If they did speak with someone.  Also they did actually play.
