Huntingdon overall is a different animal. I hope both teams meet up so I can say told ya so. Some of you LC fans seem to be decent posters on here and Im sure yall will give credit where credit is due. You guys have had a great year and deserve the credit also. The only team I see beating them is that #1 team from the East and I only say that from what I have read on here. Not sure if they can beat them either tho.

Lol

Much rides on the outcome of this game.  For Lake County, they want to avenge a heart breaking loss to TCA last season and to prep themselves for another deep run into the playoffs again this season.  For TCA, there is even more incentive.  If TCA wins, they position themselves to take second in their region should either McKenzie beat Gibson County or Halls shocks UC. Basically, TCA is playing for a chance to host a first round playoff game.

Lake County has  a very good running game featuring Dezmon Johnson, who is well over the 1000 yard mark for the season.  Their QB is also a big and capable runner in his own right and the WR's all can run the jet sweep. While LC does not pass the ball too much, the QB has success when he does throw.  On the stats I have access to, his touchdown to completion ratio is outstanding.  Good receivers in Matheny, L. Tubbs, and others make Lake County a top notch opponent.

TCA features the fastest football player in Tennessee in Kevin Davis who is a rushing, receiving, and special teams threat.  Coleman is a big and bruising back who also lays down the smack on defense.  The Lions have a deep and talented corps of wide outs as well.  Lamberth has put up quality numbers at the QB spot after being forced into duty due to injuries to others before the season ever started.  Lopes gives the Lions a nice edge in kicking as he has 12 touchbacks and is 5 of 6 on field goals as well.

Fox Sports Jackson 105.3 (the broadcast outlet for TCA football) will provide radio coverage of this game beginning at 6:30pm central time.  Audio streaming will be available at http://www.foxsportsjackson.com and you can also listen in on your cell phone by calling 605-468-5762.  Fox Sports Jackson, in association with Worthy Road Studios,  is also scheduled to provide live streaming video of this contest as well.  Video coverage is scheduled to begin about 5 minutes before kickoff.  To view this game, go to the Facebook page of Fox Sports Jackson and enjoy.  The game will also be broadcast on the Facebook pages off Worthy Road Studios, WTJS 93.1, and Ball Game Blitz.  The Fox Sports Jackson 105.3 broadcast team of Diamond Dave McCulley and Stan Gerard, aka Reitz Fan, will provide the call of the game on both the radio and video sides.  With this being only one of four scheduled games in the state  on Thursday night outside of Memphis, we expect a large listening and viewing audience.  I hope you enjoy our broadcast.

I got to watch the 2nd half. Yall do a good job of calling a game.

I couldn't get the video stream to work on mobile though.

I appreciate your kind words. I did not feel it was one of our best broadcast efforts though. Tough to call a game like that especially when the team you call games for is in the wrong end of the score. We are TCA homers but I hope we were fair to the Lake County bunch. Had tough woking conditions as well. I will pass your nice comment along to my partner.

I understand.  I did hear you sigh heavily a couple times. But that's part of it. I did find yall as fair announcers in high school as I've heard. BTW, that one call was ineligible down field.

Man some of you guys are unbelievable. Huntingdon has maybe two posters on Coach T that speak to other posters in a deragotory manner. Everybody else on here talks football. Now here are some truths. Last season did I believe we were gonna win a state championship? I thought it was possible. Was I shocked we didn’t? Not really. I’m certainly not  counting us there this year but I do see some intangibles with this team that I am impressed with that I haven’t saw over the last several years. Mental and physical toughness being #1.  Playing team football #2. Adjustments by the coaching staff #3.  I expect us and Cornersville to meet in Round 3 but it’s not guaranteed. But for you Cornersville guys that don’t think you have our respect I GUARANTEE you that you have Huntingdon’s full attention Don’t worry about that. I am more concerned with looking too far ahead than I am about the team not giving 200% to beat y’all. There will be no quarter given or expected in return.

That goes for several of our teams

Im not saying you guys wouldnt be ready to play but Im am telling ya they are on another level this yr. I dont see anybody in the west beating them.

Vandy just a question no disrespect to you at all. Are you judging the Mustangs on the game they played Waverly? The stangs also beat Waverly last year also. No disrespect to Huntingdon at all but they were really good last year also. They are the favorite no doubt but they are not unbeatable. I have seen them 3 times on film. Very good team but there are things that can be exploited. The stangs and Cville will be a barn burner. The winner if LC is lucky enough to be in the semifinals will have their hands full.

Yes I am and no disrespect taken. Not saying LC or Cornersville are not better this yr but I truely think Huntingdon is. I think they are a little weak in the pass defense but who aint against Waverly. So yes they can be beat.

You guys done an excellent job calling the game. I know you guys are Homer's for TCA but ya'll were more than fair to Lake County. TCA has a good ball team and could be dangerous come playoff time. I would imagine it will be awhile before the lions and falcons play again. Good luck to the lions the rest of the way and keep on doing the job you guys do. There are not many out there that promote high school athletics. Again, great job.

    • Yea I agree I will say tho I was a big “ v “ fan if an  opening ever did happen I think it would’ve been good to see him have a shot coming from a power house like Oakland. I’m sure he’s learned a lot from Kevin.  I bet he would bring a really good offense scheme IMO But after all this I just dunno anymore.  Whatever happens with the rumors an such if it did come to and opening I think this messes it all up.  The board members dreams are slowly slipping away now. I haven’t lived there for awhile I just hear what I hear, but my question is would there be any good potential candidates?? That’s why I don’t understand why people want b s out so bad who else could do any better ?? IMO there’s nothing attractive about it? As I stated earlier I went to the last game last year and taking a leak in a porta Potty is pretty sad and still nothing being done they say ..
    • I have a sophomore that can do 177 (preferred) or 192. Sent you an email.
    • speaking of board members how can a man get arrested 12 days ago and still be head coaching a team in TC school system? looks like your right about the tc board members. I bet it would be different if they had a kid on the team
