Beating Bradley at Bradley is going to take a tremendous effort.  They're a good (not great) team anyway, but they average about 10 more free-throw attempts at home versus their opponents.
I think Bradley, Cookeville, Stone, and East Hamilton survives to the quarterfinals - with the only chance of it being different is Rhea beating East Hamilton.

Oh don't get me wrong.  I have saw them play.  I know that Cookeville or White County would have to play a perfect game to beat them.  But for Bradley to win the region they will have to most likely beat the best 3 teams in 6AAA.  Not saying they won't do it.  But to me that puts them in the toughest bracket.   I may be completely wrong because I have only seen them play twice but the talent gap isn't as large as it has been in the past.  Should be fun to watch.

The regional games will be at Bradley after first round.   I have seen all of the teams in both regions play.   Bradley definitely has the toughest bracket.  Cookeville has given stone all they wanted all 3 games they have played especially last night.  White county isn’t playing well but they have some ballers.  I expect WC to make a game of it.  But Bradley’s pressure could force WC into too many turnovers and blow them out.  Cookeville has beaten Cleveland twice this year.  I think we are playing well enough to make it 3 in a row.  Similar size teams but Cookeville has a deeper bench.   I believe it will be Cookeville vs Bradley in next round.

On other side of bracket.  Stone should handle Mcminn with their size advantage.  I don’t see how this is too close.  Stone is playing great and just too big.   East Hamilton vs Rhea puzzles me.  How did Rhea win that game earlier this year?  I think Hayes scores 30 and Hampton scores 30.  If Rhea shoots the 3 like they did last night this will be a game. Ultimately,  I think 14 is just too good for a team as small as Rhea.  EH should win.    Stone vs EH will be a battle of the bigs.   Should be a close game.

Don’t fall for his hyperbole & excuses...

Excuses for what? Cleveland girls havent had the talent to challenge the Bearettes for the past decade. I havent went in to Jim Smiddy expecting a Lady Raider win in a long time, but you know your team is in for a long night when a certain ref is calling the game.

I was telling you not to pay attention to BlitzenBuc’s excuses about officiating & # of free throws at Bradley games. Region games are called by out of town officials.

    • As I said somewhere earlier in the thread, the original plans had no outdoor athletic facilities being part of the campus.  The original plan was for HVA to use facilities at nearby schools.  Very late in the process they came up with a plan and found budget to have minimal facilities and crammed them in to space that never was intended for athletic facilities.
    • Agreed, the way the field is turned you get the evening sun blasting right into the press box making filming a nightmare there, plus its so low.  The field is land locked and parking is a nightmare too. Seems like Knox County could have done a lot better there with the design and the quality.
    • I think this upcoming team may be pretty good, they will definately be better up front and if they can replace Dozier, Heyward and Rembert, they can be real good. They have the same strange schedule, but this time with 5 straight home games. The road games at Jeff County, Powell will be tough to open up with and the back side at Bearden is the tough game there.  One question I had if anyone knows: There has been some talk of an indoor practice facility in the past, with the new track area now more of a track area, that kind of leaves a need for a football practice area. Just sayin....
    • I find it hard to believe that 70% of a schools enrollment is zoned for another school district
    • I was told that the indoor facility is happening regardless of the vote on the taxes but it would be a much bigger project with more funds if they vote goes through
