It's head looked like it was a foot and a half wide for about two seconds.Thats when the line broke and the monster got away.Last year's game against Greeneville will never come back and Greeneville will always be the 2017 champions because they done what they had to do to get out of a tough game and go on  to victory.I never hooked that fish again and if I did ,it  might be like Greeneville this year and be even a lot bigger and stronger and make me wish I'd just took the first loss and not tried again.EITHER way,last year is over and has nothing to do with this year and thank goodness it's going to be over and done in less then 3 weeks and next month somebody will be the 2018 state champs.

by the way brother, i hooked that exact same fish back in 1996, after a long day of painting....well, scraping, a house out by what is now lowes in greeneville. My story had a much different ending than yours though. I fought the big fella for about 15 minutes, toying with him....reeling him in close to the rock, then letting him swim back into the deep deep green water....then back to the rock, back to the deep and so on till i decided the monster had had enough, at which point i reeled him right up the edge of that giant limestone boulder, leaned down over that eery green water and looked him right in the eyes and said " that's what you get for crushing my brothers heart all those years ago, then i punched him right in the gills and cut the line and let him go.....to this day I wish i had jerked him up outta that greenish, dark water and mounted him, but i remember what our pap use to always tell me....."son, before you mount em, you got to get em home first "......bahahaha

LOL good one. At least Betsy and Greeneville will have one thing in common to remember 2018..... they both were taken out single handed by then #1 ranked Mavericks haha

mr mavs i almost.....ALMOST feel sorry for you. You've had almost an entire year to build yourself up for this game. To convince yourself that the little calves are on the same level as the big greene Devil monster that has been crushing everything in its path since that night. I hope for your mental stability that this game does NOT happen this year cause i really dont think you can take another loss to the mighty mighty devils, and live through it, so i'll be praying for you, that Union county dont beat up on you guys too bad, so you can atleast put up a fight against the Clones

I hope you and all of the Greeneville faithless get together and escort DevilMan because this is the one you need to seriously worry about after Greenevilles losses to AC. I am really concerned that he should be on a watch list or better yet banned from Anderson County line. I am going to recomend they check all Greeneville fans at the gate and the one with the Bronze statue of Ballard be taken into custody and a free escort back to Greeneville.
