Us old folks also remember a close 2000 win for the Rebels against WBHS. It was the Rebels first win of 2000. It started a row that's continued to this day. Going for a 4th and one in its own territory early in the game and making it was the play that may have changed everything for the Rebels.

We will be honoring our 99 team Friday night. Last team to beat Maryville. Go govs!!!!

They need to honor the officials from that night also while their at it for giving WB 9 plays to make a touchdown inside the ten yard line. I knew one of the officials personally and he quit after that game because every Tom, Dick and Harry in town called him over the weekend right on into his job the following Monday. I was setting in his office when he called his boss K. C. and told him he wouldn't going to put up with all that kind of B.S. and harassment over a stupid ballgame. I just sat there knowing he had paid dearly for that bad call.

The good ole days. We have the best rb we’ve had in awhile great Oline and qb. We coming back

WB has had some great RBs in the past. Tony Robinson(Maybe the best overall)  Ray Porter, Goodson, Tillet, the Walker Brothers, Garner, Cook and TJ King. How does this year's starter compare? Which one is he the most similar to?

Im really taking a shot at maryville 24. He trashes our team and bailed out on us. Which actually is going to work out better for us in the long haul. He’s comparable to Darren G. Small yet very shifty

If he's comparable to Darrin G,  then you guys have a weapon. Glad things are working out for your kids, but 24 is a hard working, talented kid.  I'm not trying to be judgy, or tell you what to do, but taking shots at kids is not really cool.

Wish the best for them all.

Meathead was a gooduin! One of WB's first RB's was a goodun too. He was the tailback, point guard, and center fielder his Senior year.  Both Friendsville boys.

Go Falcons! Bow your heads.

With that being said... both coaching positions in the same district open... which one of these jobs is the best job and why?  also, it is a coincidence that they both leave at the same time...

    • good points. I guess the question is do the coaches need to be out of the classroom and get paid for just coaching. maybe move the coaching jobs to just coaching and no teaching. that would open up the coaching ranks to some good coaches that are not qualified to teach. Then you could do contracts and pay them whatever you want to pay them. move the positions to contracts.  Just like college. Thoughts?
