Round 1 Average Margin of Victory Year over Year

Well i started off doing the wrong year... 2014... so here that year is for what it's worth:

Note: 1A and 2A took less teams and region winners had first round byes (8 first round games each class)

1A: 17.75

2A: 11.75 

3A: 31.81

4A: 28

5A: 19.06

6A: 20.69

Total Composite: 22.86

2015 (Year 1 of Super 32): 

1A: 35.63

2A: 28.75

3A: 16.13

4A: 27.81

5A: 20.81

6A: 23.56

Total Composite: 25.45

2016 (Year 2 Super 32): 

1A: 33.6

2A: 28.5

3A: 26.44

4A: 40.56

5A: 20.94

6A: 30.69

Total Composite: 30.08

@FridayMainEvent i think the second year illustrates that just because you're a large school doesn't mean you're going to have a good football team. Ultimately did this "study" to show that too many teams make the playoffs. either need to take less per class or have less classes. I personally think 4 blanket classifications across all sports for division I would be best.

      I used to think like that many many moons ago.  I wondered the same questions but learned that it is just not that easy.  Hiring assistant coaches can be complicated at times.  It takes a few years for HC’s to get who they feel is right for their system.  Couple that with good assistant coaches getting better jobs at times and leaving your program. More to it than some think.  I think you have a good coach up there and time will tell that story.

      You’re right, I shouldn’t jump the gun on it. Hopefully it isn’t related to the sports programs, because it’ll end up affecting a lot of innocent kids who just enjoy playing sports.

      I totally agree but just don’t want to see people jumping the gun by insinuating it was for athletic reasons. Nobody knows at the moment except for those involved in the incident itself and those investigating.
