Telli White did change transcripts. However, it was clearly established that he did not change any transcripts to make players elidgeable to play high school football. He changed them to make players elidgeable to enter college. That's why the TSSAA nor the investigating body didn't try to have their championship trophies removed.

As a matter of fact, the investigation into grade changing went on for a year or a little longer, and mutiple schools had teachers and administrators found to have changed grades without going through proper protocols. After the investigation went on for over a year ... no one was fired or removed or anything. The investigation committee stated that it couldn't prove or verify anything and the tax payers were wasting money with the investigation. Rules were put in place to prevent that from happening again and they stopped the investigation and shut it down. They investigate EVERY school in Shelby County not just Trezevant. Every School ... extensively

This was a seperate investigating committee from the DA's office I think, it was not an investigation committe created from the school board or had any affiliation with the school board. The investigation committee was an independant entity altogether.

So, Teli White isn't coaching anymore. But that was the extent of it. He was accused of changing transcripts to get some of his players in college. NOT HIGH SCHOOL.

Trezevant's championship trophies are legit and they stay at the school. End of story.

I think his supension has a time limit on it. I wouldn't be shocked to see him coaching again in a high school near you after he has met the suspension time limit. He WILL get hired somewhere.

kids transferring to a different school every year in the hopes of being on a winning team isnt right.  other schools outside of memphis arent allowed to do it why should they be able to ?

Students transfer quite frequently in Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga, and in Jackson. The larger the city, the more transfers. We aren't talkin student athletes here ... we are talking STUDENTS. There are just as many transfers in metro Nashville then there are in Memphis, Go check out Murphreesboro ... they have a LOT of transfers as well.

My point ,,, it's not just Memphis ... it's ALL OVER THE STATE.

Where you have a larger population with very dense areas with a lot of schools ... transfers are inevitable. The TSSAA doesn't have the staff to go to verify each and every transfer request. They just don't. Heck, folk complain about the TSSAA so much, could you imagine how much folk would gripe about the TSSAA if they requested the budget necessary to go around the state trying to police transfers?

County/rural areas just don't have that many options ... there are option aplenty in the larger urban areas.

You sound like a rural high school football fan who thinks that student athletes transfer to get to a better program. There is some of that, but that is probably 5-10%, if that. The reason a student athletes transfers is varied, and multiple. Most aren't even recognized because they aren't star players.

I know a lot of folk on here are fixated on that ... but you rural guys and the student athletes have it tremendously better then this so called transferring to get to a better school thing you all think is going on. In most cases ... these studebt athletes transferring are for reasons that are unimaginable and sad.

I know, I know ... the Memphis area schools just cheat, cheat, and cheat some more. They have an unfair advantage because student athletes can just go from school to school to school .... yada, yada, and YADA.

Oh well ... carry on and complain.

Most of you are letting your imaginations just run wild.

Let me also add this. It is the smaller school classifications that complain about this. You 1A and 2A guys from rural Tennessee go on and on and on about this. When I read someone complaining about this ... I know two things. They support a school in either a 1A or 2A classification. They are a rural school. never fails.

So Memphis East is really coming to 1A? WTH is that all about? They won 4A in 2016 now they are coming to 1A football?

We have been telling you guys and telling you guys ... the enrollement at East has dramatically dropped. They are now a STEM program school.

Might I add ... in the recent past ... East would have 2A or 3A numbers ... and play UP. When they won the 4A title in 2016 ... they were really, by enrollment numbers, a 3A school. They no longer can do that. They are NOT the same program as they were in 2016. That is why the HC left to take the job at Cordova.

You don’t have to worry Bass. I saw East play Dburg last week. East scored 12pts all year!!  At kickoff East had 25 Kids dressed and 4 fans in the stands. They won’t be competitive in 1A either unless things improve drastically.

I agree they didn’t, they only add fuel to the fire of negative stereotypes for Memphis schools since they are the most successful small school out of Memphis. That’s why I said winning and winning the right way

Dont let him persuade you with that mess Trezevant football program DID NOT get caught cheating.

    • If someone needed their grades pumped up surley it would have to be for someone needing it to get to another level. If your intending on going to work right after high school it wouldn't matter. Why would someone in their right mind think if they screwed it up in high school that their ready for college. It has to be for an athlete to get them over the fence to get in and from that point the school their going to will cheat them through the rest of the way for their athletic skills just like the rest.
    • The new school will be on that road behind Home Depot next to a church. I'm wondering if this could take from Greenback or could it be the end of Greenback, they only have 200 students.
    • Yeah it will take the county kids in that area that were going to lenior city. They will move down to 4a I think
