District 11AA

Hickman County had a great year.  They’ll only continue to get better and better under Coach Dawson.

Creek Wood got their PG back from an injury that had him sidelined most of the season.  They are playing with a lot of confidence now.  Camden is a high scoring basketball team that loves to play at a fast pace.  They’ll be the opposite of Hickman County style wise.

Fairview plays Lewis County in the semifinals of the tournament.  Lewis County handed Fairview their only district loss during the regular season.

Here is the truth about 11AA and 12AA.  I have had the opportunity of seeing some teams from each.  Regardless of who comes out of the Region Tournament with these two districts, it will be a tall task to beat 9AA in the sectionals.  However, Fairview is head and shoulders better than the rest in 11AA.  The scores sometimes do not indicate that...but they are.  They played a little better quality schedule as well with wins over AAA Independence and Page on theirs.  When they are on and rolling they are capable of beating every team on their side by 30+.  There is not another team that can consistently do that in 11AA.

On the 12AA side, Nolensville and Marshall Co. will be the 2 to contend with.  I firmly believe that 12AA is a stronger district than 11AA.  I do not believe that 12AA will sweep.  Either way, they are all 15-18 year old kids and one slip up during the tournament could cost all of the aforementioned teams a ticket to the house.  11AA has not seen a player all year like KJ Johnson (Marshall Co.) or the Bloedorn kid from Nolensville.

It will be fun seeing how this all plays out.  Best of luck to all the teams.

I'm assuming you mean 10AA. Come sectionals I'll be surprised if a 9AA team is still around.

I told you this district was weak and that Hickman was trash.  They couldn’t even beat Creekwood at home.  No wonder their only good player went to Fairview.  That was the best decision of his life.

Here’s the way that the District 11 Tournament aligns with the upcoming Region 6 Tournament.  On Tuesday Night at Stewart County HS in Dover:

Consolation Game at 6:00 - Creek Wood vs Lewis County

Championship Game at 7:30 - Fairview vs Camden

In District 12 on Tuesday:

Consolation Game - Murfreesboro Central Magnet vs Community

Championship Game - Marshall County vs Nolensville

On Saturday Night in the First Round of the Region Tournament:

District 12 #4 plays at District 11 #1

District 11 #3 plays at District 12 #2

District 11 #4 plays at District 12 #1

District 12 #3 plays at District 11 #2

The Region Semifinals and Championship Game will be played the following week at East Hickman HS in Lyles.

Marshall and Nolensville will beat those 3 and 4 seed teams by 20. Community and Central Magnet will both win by 5. #bookit

FACTS:

12AA teams return the main core/players from last yr's squads.  Nol-all Srs.-except B.W., MC-KJ except Post 14 rpg, MM- W.C. minus a starter or 2, Not sure about Comm bc it was Forrest a yr ago.

Things to remember:

1.  MC beat Fairview this yr.

2. 12AA swept Region last yr.

3.  Fairview lost EVERYTHING from a yr ago and is not a better team from a yr ago.

Now....your illogical #bookit makes alot of sense.

The real fact: They hs kids, at this point in season, anybody can win on any given night-#bookit

Fact:

1. MC did NOT beat Fairview this yr.

2. 12AA did NOT sweep Region last yr.

3.  Fairview did NOT lose EVERYTHING from a yr ago and IS a better team from a yr ago. Returned the top 2 scorers and 4 of their top 5.

Please if its a FACT show me where MC beat Fairview this year? They lost w games. One to Lewis County which they have totally redeemed themselves. And one to a school from kentucky. Where is ths 3rd loss to MC? You cant say "facts" without truly having the facts.

Also riddle me this. District 12s bread and butter got beat by independence this year. Fairview beat them by 10. Fairview lost to nolensville by 1 pt last year. But yet your whole district is convinced of a sweep when ever like opponents your teams lose to fairvew gives a good loss to. So in your mind nolensville returned everyone who beat Fairview last year. Fairview isnt as good and nolensville is better. Well, shouldnt nolensville have beaten Indy since fairview did by 10? BUT they didnt. So theres that. Your facts are less and less facts by the min.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
