We are definitely the underdawg here against Covington. But this Milan team is better than their 8-4 record indicates. 3 losses to Covington, Huntingdung and Peabody who went a combined 29-1 in the regular season. Almost beat Peabody’s and played Huntingdung close. Heck the 4th loss was to North Side who was a region champ and is still playing. We have improved ALOT since the first time we played Covington. Should be a fight. Best of luck to you guys.

Thanks bud. We need some luck because we're also underdawgs in this one. I don't care what the pundits say. Stratfords size looks like the University of Auburn compared to us. And we're playing on a wet, sloppy field. Thankfully it's our field and we have a great coaching staff to prepare these boys for what's coming. As well as the motivation to make Fairview High School Yellowjackets history! Let's do it!

The one game I attended at Fairview was a great experience. You guys had great facilities and great fan support. Wonderful atmosphere. I was definitely impressed!!!

Thanks BPM. We've moved up in the world since then too. Got a jumbotron, fancy new scoreboard, and press box. Rumor is we're getting artificial turf pretty soon too. I hope so! It would really benefit our playing style as opposed to the condition our field gets in this time of year.

My advice would be, don't feed the troll ladyvol. Boohoo is just a pure miserable hater that does nothing but trash high school programs on here. In my 5 years or so of being here I've never seen one ounce of positivity in anything he's ever said. He'll make outlandish accusations and even call coaches and players out by name. All the while hiding behind anonymity like a coward. I think he suffers fro PTSD from being a Spring Hill fan.

Thanks for the advice!  I have been absent from the boards for a while, so still sorting through the true haters, super fans, and just curious folks of high school football!  #GoJackets#JacketPride

And I will add - the reference saying "they even have furniture"...Some my remember Perry County's violation years ago, I remembered reading an article about how a parent (or maybe principal) went to the kids house to see if there was furniture in it!  THAT is why I said that!  LOL!

    • HVA is a dump and will never be good at football. It's a baseball school. Look at the types of homes being built and families moving in. Not football families. People will move in and look at the school and choose to play for another program. This issue has been snow balling for a decade now
    • Also no shot at an indoor facility it took ya'll almost a decade just to turf blankenship
    • You will not be able to replace Dozier he was a stud and wasted for years. Heyward started strong and then fell of but he will be missed still Rembert could fly and was also underused. Not being replaced. Track has started to close the gap with football. It does not help that the current AD is just stealing money(collecting his check) while the assistant AD is a XC/Track guy who always hated football. Current AD is too worried about not hurting anyone's feelings to do anything at all. Heck he is gotta be 70 plus and looks like a fool wearing kid shoes
    • Will Trez remain 2A after the influx of another 2A school?
    • As I said somewhere earlier in the thread, the original plans had no outdoor athletic facilities being part of the campus.  The original plan was for HVA to use facilities at nearby schools.  Very late in the process they came up with a plan and found budget to have minimal facilities and crammed them in to space that never was intended for athletic facilities.
