I wasn't wrong. You said they ran it a ton, which is a lie.

Anyways, I did think the same exact thing about their field. Very much metro feeling. However, I do think it's very playable. I didn't walk the field, so I don't know about the ruts people are talking about. I didnt see them if they were there. Lines were terrible crooked.

But I must ask, why in your opinion would the passing game be largely removed?

I feel both are equal in ways. NS has more speed. Spr is more diverse in scheme. Spr O and D lines at better. I give the edge to spr and like them by 7-10pts.

The passing game would be removed on a sloppy field because of the footing. WR’s will have trouble cutting, balls will be slippery from hitting the turf, and qb’s will struggle keeping their footing. Springfield loves to run the quick slants, that will be hard to do on a muddy field. Don’t agree that Springfield has better D-Line, those two 300 pounders for NS are pretty effective. They make teams run up the middle because it’s hard to get outside with their speed, will even be tough for 23. I will say Springfield is playing their best fb at the best time of the year which is a sign of great coaching so def give them the advantage there.

Now what if I told you that every one of those jet sweep qb reads is an RPO. Prob be hard for you to grasp that because you don’t see the PO portion very often but a dead give away is when the TE scrapes the DE then goes to the flats or down the seam. But since you know more than me, a simple football enthusiast,  you prob already knew that ......

North Side is in a rough area? What?

The school is rough not the area lol. North Side's campus is on the north side of the interstate, and the south and east side of Jackson is the rough part. Very quiet neighborhood that is right beside the campus. You will be fine.

    • Maybe some of the historians can get on here and help me out, but has anybody from Tennessee ever had as much success in an international style as Boykin? The only other Tennessee native I can remember competing for world team spots is the older Boykin in freestyle and he wasn't nearly as close as Nick has been to making world teams.
    • Whoever gets the job will have some opportunities to compete year end and year out. The sophomore class has some talent and the middle school has some good athletes coming thru. If the right coach comes thru he can build a winning program.
