He's probably injured, more then likely. Probably got injured when they played Southwind. Not injured bad enough to not try and go, but too injured to perform against a team like HC. Hate it for the senior...but that's football.

You may be right KWC because he came in start of the fourth quarter but only played one series.

I say that because it happened to Whitehaven back when we first played Ravenwood. Our QB threw 4 INTs that night. He played uncharacteristically bad that game. I found out a year later that he was playing with a partial rotator cuff tear, or something like that. He tried to tough it out for the team, but he couldn't put any 'umph' on his throws. When I found out it all made sense. Probably the same scenario here.

Great game Patriots! Overcoming early turnovers and mistakes to secure the win was huge. But I wanted to throw out a Big Thank You to the Kirby folks who made a point to stop by our tailgate, both before and after the game. You guys were very welcoming and super gracious hosts! You should be proud of your community and school.

Go Big RED!!!

What a shame that a fine team like Kirby had such poor fan support at such an important game. We had the visiting stands packed and more red in the home side than  Kirby despite the almost 150 mile trip to get there.Take out their very entertaining band and there were less than 100 Kirby fans . Those kids deserve better.

As a new staff member I have an idea that I will share with the AD and Principal to solve that issue.

    • Maybe some of the historians can get on here and help me out, but has anybody from Tennessee ever had as much success in an international style as Boykin? The only other Tennessee native I can remember competing for world team spots is the older Boykin in freestyle and he wasn't nearly as close as Nick has been to making world teams.
    • Whoever gets the job will have some opportunities to compete year end and year out. The sophomore class has some talent and the middle school has some good athletes coming thru. If the right coach comes thru he can build a winning program.
