Thanks for the support. We all know how good Alcoa is and we may have had our best chance last year but I hope we get to play them again.

Here's a thought:

Last year's Covington team lost our opening game to Munford, then ran off 13 wins in a row before losing to Alcoa in the championship game. With our Quarterfinal win over Milan tonight, that is another 13 consecutive wins. 

I think that 26 wins over two seasons is pretty good. Now, if we can add two more wins this year, I'll be totally satisfied.

Couple questions. 

How big are Covington's linebackers? Is their field grass or turf? If grass, is it in good shape? 

If it's a hog pen like Fairviews field I'd do like CPA and hire helicopters to hover over it to dry it out. Lol. Weathers looking dry for the next week though.

The field is grass and flat torn up at this point. Linebackers aren’t big but strong and fast.

Covington plays on an all grass field. Conditions have been rough the last couple of weeks with bad weather. Should see some good drying this week. The few games I've seen Covington play this year they have stopped the run extremely well. They definitely would prefer teams to run it instead of pass it. That being said, they had 3 or 4 interceptions last night against Milan. Their defense has played well all year, but seems to be peaking at the right time. Good luck stopping their rushing attack. They line up in the wing t with the qb under center as well as in the shotgun and have 4 guys who can take it to the house on any given carry. Their QB can sling it all over the field as well as run it with the best of them. Should be a good game, but I don't see how Covington loses this one. I watched them play 3 times this year and was more impressed after each game.

In general, Covington is known for having a good grass field. However, 3 consecutive home playoff games during the monsoon season have taken a toll. Stratford won't need to worry about field conditions, though. They will be better served to study film on our offense.
