Gallatin Green Wave Grumors

I have nothing personal against Wilson, just don't think he has a chance at it! Not good enough for "GALLATIN".  To pressure Williams, I think you do need a splash! Is Silcox interested? Some of their long standing policies will have to change if they want a proven, experienced coach! Also, will not get one if he has to keep all the current staff! If the problem was coaching then you can't put it all on Williams. The behind the scene politics is everywhere, better quickly find out who the big suporters truly are! Maybe the problem is administration from what I am hearing on here!

GO JACKETS!

I think we all need to sit back and wait.  There is so much garbage on this thread it is ridiculous.  Truths, half-truths, no truths, speculation and some names who are probably not interested and some that are not realistic candidates.  I expect someone named by Christmas but not soon.

Just read Beckers article. Doesnt give much hope to me from the way he sounds. Keep williams or go out get someone who can/has won! Sounds like a mess to me.   Did they not hire Creasy, Crabtree last time because of facial hair? That in itself is alot of the problem. Trying to be competitive today with 1960's way of thinking!

GO JACKETS!

I’ve heard some names mentioned. I will list those and my thoughts. Would like some input from others that may be “in the know”.

Crabtree - no interest

Alexander - no interest

Joslin - not sure if either side has interest

Beasley - I think he would be interested, not sure where the school would stand

Wilson - don’t think he leaves

Bundy - I think he would be interested and that the school may reach out

Gentry - not sure if either side has interest

inman - don’t think he has a shot

Satterfield - no interest

Perry - no interest

If you have any insight, please add

I think Bundy or Perry would both be good fits.

I know you are just speculating with each of those names and their supposed interest, but you make it out as if nobody with a pedigree wants to come to a program with a well known tradition of winning. To me, the fact that Crabtree and Creasy showed interest in 2011 tells me that the program could possibly land a solid coach. Crabtree atleast took a peak at the job previously in 2011, and that was the year before Beech's undefeated championship in 2012 with Jalen Hurd on the team, so he knew what he would've been leaving at that time. So with that said, who's to say the man wouldn't have any interest in it this go-around? Whether Beech has a promising 2019 season or not? I'm only saying...

Just to end all discussion of any issues with the coaches having facial hair, Coach Nathan Wilson is currently on the staff and has been named interim head coach.  I have met him, been around him several times, and I can assure you he has a full mustache and beard, and has had both ever since he was hired.  There is no issue, nor has there ever been issues with coaches having facial hair at GHS period.

Joslin had his chance and was miserable failure. wont happen again. Why name first year coach as interim, interesting! Why not Silcox or DC/OC? I think they will have to go outside mid tn to get a good one!  GAllAtin folk are you guys willing to sweeten the pot or all this win stuff just talk? Hear the AD heavily involved!

GO JACKETS!

    • Why would the tax payers be responsible for paying for only a coach? In recent years with all the theft from various programs in schools from different programs with booster clubs (not just sports) the State of TN has made alot of rules surrounding booster clubs and how they handle money.  I have two documents to review, 1 is 40 pages from the state comptroller and the other is 37 pages from my district, so I can consider starting a booster club for my middle school program. It has been too much trouble in the past for the other coaches.  There is no way there needs to be an adult in the school building for 7 hours a day with no responsibilities except coaching.
    • The only thing that was said at half time of the 45-0 game was Coach Story, he said: "I know y'all have been out there a lot, but kick-off team, y'all need to get down there faster!" Then he and the other coaches proceeded to go into the coaches office and we all went nuts!  It was the only time I can ever remember coaches not saying anything at half time. Definitely a great memory!!!
    • Boyd could actually be a grade below what he is now, but his parents didn't see the need to "redshirt" him like the other city school down the road would have pushed for....
