People want to see if they get it right or BLOW IT AGAIN! Unless there is a coach underwraps and unless they are willing to give Metro a try, looks to be a unproven coach. And unfortunately we have been a nonfactor for many years and this is not just due to coaching (many other factors that have been discussed here)! Things will not change much until Wave folk understand this( Cant fix problem when you dont even know what problem is)!  Naming today?

GO JACKETS! and WAVE!

Who ever said that TP was “plan A”?

It’s just my impression that he was, and he should have been. Credit to Gallatin, they put the full court press on, but he didn’t take it in the end.

It makes you wonder why a school would do everything in their power, and even more than they thought they could to begin with, to hire a coach that rides the coattails of his strength coach and defensive coordinator and deserves zero credit for his teams recent success.

I’m happy he’s staying at Mt. Juliet because it’s my alma mater, but it would’ve been hilarious to watch him win big at Gallatin and see if certain posters hung around.

Who said he was offered or will be offered.  To my knowledge that has not been done yet.

Being interviewed for a job does not equate to being offered a job.

We 1,000% already know that all outsiders perceive that Gallatin will not land a football coach. We get it already. A program only has 6 down -trodden years (by their standoards) and people just write off multiple decades of tail whippings and winning football.

MJ has came off the most successful decade in program history, which is great. Now, what were people saying about MJ in the 2000's when they went 1-9, 2-8? Gallatin has NEVER went down THAT far. Did the "experts" all speculate that MJ was just going to permanently suck at that point as well? I'm only using MJ as an example.

All other supporters in here have seen their programs go through quite a few "bad" times as well. But lets all just single out Gallatin because that's the easy thing to do. Most of you posting in here know what it was like to get beat by that green team. I can totally understand the hostility. With that said, they aren't going to be down forever.

History has a tendency of repeating itself.

    • From my understanding, Jay Graham pretty much took over HC responsibilities in that game, so you can thank him. Cute Andy didn’t need help, though. Cute Andy could’ve beaten us without any assistant coaches.
    • Tax payer dollars are paid for certified teachers to "teach" and then coach. The primary job is to teach.  There are some district that ay awesome supplements and others that don't. Dyersburg and Dyer County are pretty close if I remember correctly. I would imagine that Football and basketball are above $10,000 now.  I've heard that Milan is $20,000 for boys basketball. I would imagine that football is more than that in Milan.  Collierville has camps that coaches get paid extra for. 3 camps a year, 100 kids a camp, $30,000 right there.  There are places like Memphis-Shelby County schools where the supplements are garbage even for the head coaches. I made less than $3,000 as the head assistant at Germantown in 2015 when we were 26-4 and one of the best teams in the Southeast. As a head middle school coach next year I will make between $4-5,000 at a municipal in Shelby County.  Coaches should be compensated for the jobs that are required but lets keep in mind that they are educators first.  It's pretty frustrating to other teachers that work their tale off teaching 6-7 classes a day to watch someone roam campus, not teach (or have very minimal responsibilities), and get paid the same (more with supplements) as a person who has the some years of experience or sometimes less.
    • This will get coaches leaving the profession very quickly if this kid wins this case. This is absurd...
