Pearl Cohn has made tremendous, deep playoff runs the last few years. They were upset this year. It happens! They have athletes, but have lots of factors to deal with in metro! Brunetti is the best choice from the names i hear on here! Truly  i hope they have someone better!

All this brings me back to Becker saying, better and more experienced group than before!REALLY!!Shows his lack of knowledge! And he in charge of search!LOL

It depends on who you ask about Wilson.  I really like him.  He has a lot of enthusiasm.  I have been wrong before.

Nathan Wilson is who they are referring to. Dustin Wilson would have been a great candidate as well.

I couldn't see him ever leaving Springfield for another high school.   He's in his dream job at his Alma mater.

I agree, which is why I suspect he didn’t apply. If all the names mentioned are accurate, then Gallatin will end up with a quality coach. I didn’t necessarily think that was the case at the start of the process, so I will admit I was wrong on that front.

Gallatin will get a very good coach without a doubt.  Now who it will be is up in the air.

I believe Wilson to be an enthusiastic, good coach. Did good job at Macon with one outstanding player! Don't know if he ever won a playoff game? Help me here will? Seems to be good man! DON"T think it will go over well!

I'm very confident there is at least one, and maybe more, surprise candidates that most have not thought of, we'll see.  There has been no offer made, but that could happen by the end of the week, just sit tight.

Wilson won a road playoff game in 2016 then ran into the buzz saw that is Pearl Cohn. I saw what he did with less talent/speed, so I would love to see what he could do if he had multiple weapons. I am pretty sure he had a winning record at Macon, which is not something any other coach can say in the last 35-40 years. 

You could probably make the same argument for several coaches in the state, but make no mistake Wilson took the Gallatin job with plans to move up into the 5A/6A ranks as a head coach. He is a great leader, sound coach, and a disciplinarian. Macon did not give him the support needed to run a true program. If Gallatin will support him, he will win games the right way.
