Now, now bounder and bonkers.....we're all on the same team. Can't we all get along? It's actually a good thing when I see OR fans fighting on Coacht...it means the season is approaching! For the record, OR will have a speed deficiency for the foreseeable future...I haven't seen anyone on recent freshmen or JV teams that can go the distance on a long run or long pass.

I think Johnny William's son is going to be an 8th grader for Robertsville.  He looked pretty good as a 7th grader last year.  Outside of him I agree, no J. Grahams or Tee Higgins types on the horizon.

I'm not even sure what state championship OR won 10 years ago. It's been closer to 30 years since OR won one in football and I guess around 60 years in boys basketball (I guess around 20 years in girls basketball). Since you mentioned 10 years, my research shows that in the last 10 years football has won 75% of its games, boys basketball has won 81% of its games, and girls basketball has won 70% of its games. Unfortunately no state championships though in what seems like an eternity. But I would say OR definitely has "winning" programs but definitely isn't the top program in the area. And I think all of the OR fans are more than ready for a championship!

Here is that information. Over the course of many decades, it is impressive.

Kendall Jackson, rising sophomore, has good genetics in the speed department. Looked great in Freshmen highlights on both sides of the ball.  Johnathan Stewart is fired up for the season and has wheels. The Johnson brothers are talented and swift. Rowe and Romano after breaking through the line will be a handful to take down. Finally, our QB Mitchell is a smart runner. As a freshmen he ran wild in the open field. Last season, he focused on the passing game. Maybe this season he will put it all together.

Yes, no Sweet Feet, Pendergrass, Booker and several others but MAYBE we will have players step it up.

If not, my 55 year old fat #### will suit up.

I think you're gonna like Kendall Jackson. Not sure about his straight ahead speed, but still a good looking back.

I hope you're right and he's ready as a sophomore. The few times I saw him play, I felt like he was a talented back but not exceptionally fast.

    • Why would the tax payers be responsible for paying for only a coach? In recent years with all the theft from various programs in schools from different programs with booster clubs (not just sports) the State of TN has made alot of rules surrounding booster clubs and how they handle money.  I have two documents to review, 1 is 40 pages from the state comptroller and the other is 37 pages from my district, so I can consider starting a booster club for my middle school program. It has been too much trouble in the past for the other coaches.  There is no way there needs to be an adult in the school building for 7 hours a day with no responsibilities except coaching.
    • The only thing that was said at half time of the 45-0 game was Coach Story, he said: "I know y'all have been out there a lot, but kick-off team, y'all need to get down there faster!" Then he and the other coaches proceeded to go into the coaches office and we all went nuts!  It was the only time I can ever remember coaches not saying anything at half time. Definitely a great memory!!!
    • Boyd could actually be a grade below what he is now, but his parents didn't see the need to "redshirt" him like the other city school down the road would have pushed for....
