Also, enjoy having DB on the schedule for two more seasons, they almost dropped us, but we were able to keep them. They are building a new high school, combining Sullivan North, South and some of Sullivan Central, which will become West Ridge High School, a 6A School.  DB will have to play them after 2020, so they will have to drop somebody to do it, and it may be us.  They dropped Greeneville and have Tennessee High for the week before they play us this year. Look for us to have a tough game in Kingsport as they will bounce back from a tough season last year.

If they have, I haven't seen it. But when they do, I hope Gaddis has taken into account the losses of major contributors and the fact that their replacements are nothing like them (Graham, Booker, Pendergrass, and Mitchell). As I watched freshmen/JV games, I saw nothing that resembled the talent level of those guys. I hate to say it, but I see a decline on the horizon. I hope they're pretty good but I fear they will be far from great.

Disagree. OR loaded with talent; OL-better, QB-upgrade, WRs-reliable, RB-lots of options, TE-bout time we see something?, DL-strong, LB-leading tackler back, CB-have options, Safety-who knows but last year burnt often so good to see a change there.

Special teams-Need work. Hope to see the kicking game squared away. Will that LB be the punter again....will the kicker have any touchbacks????....will we be a threat in the punt return game????....

I'm excited to see the new kids earn their spots this Spring and Summer. You'd be surprised how much talent is there.

So catswild..be excited...dont hate on the new guys...change is a good thing.

To play football?

That is a very good question since I have searched the Univ. of Memphis web page and the Commercial Appeal for info on Jordan's signing or walking on and found nothing.

The only information I do have came during the TV broadcast of the TN All stars vs the GA All stars. Both Jordan and his Dad were interviewed and Jordan said he was going to Memphis and Coach Graham said he was leaving the ORHS Coaching staff so he could follow Jordan's career at Memphis.

I hope if you have more info you will share.

I don't have any information at all. I just have never heard he was going to Memphis and I didn't see a picture or tweet about his signing a scholarship, so I just wondered.

    • Not sure how I would put it as recruiting perhaps kids trying to better their career by going to a head coach and coaching staff with connections all over college football that gets them the opportunity to go play college football and be coached by a coach with a pretty good track record.
    • Lee would have been a good choice, also.  I'm sure Benny was involved with the decision.
    • Personally I was pulling for Lee Hammonds to get another shot. He’s earned it!
    • Tyler Williams was the logical choice to be named head football. He served as the Highlanders’ strength coach and offensive coordinator.
    • I went to practice yesterday and liked what I saw for the most part. Derek and crew have done a good job during the off-season. I was very impressed with the size of some of those boys on the offensive line. My only regret was one of the boys I was really pulling for to have a good year was dismissed from the team. I have to applaud the coaches for setting examples for the others, no one is bigger than the team. One other thing, I was hoping with that big rain we got this week some of that  yellow paint would dissolve but it didn't.
